Mario's Fish Bar

Fish wasn’t as good tonight. It was very greasy and not as tasty. I did get a call to say they had run out of large cod. I said we would have small instead thinking the taste would be as good. We was both disappointed.

Food ordered 10 minutes early which is always good, no faults with anything.
Much better price than Dominos for pizza and tasted much better. Doner wrap also was excellent recommend to anyone.

To order on line, be given a collection time and then have to wait 45 minutes in the shop after the appointed collection time is not happy.
I am a regular customer and cannot speak highly enough of the food quality and service I usually experience, however today is not acceptable.
At busy times extend the collection time or decline the order please

A good service, fresh cooked fish and chips, hot and tasty, served in an easy to carry cardboard carton, would recommend and will visit again.

Great place offering gluten free food on Monday and Tuesday so my son can enjoy a chippy tea :D
Only complaint is it's so bust with delivery orders but that's probably because it's so tasty!

Sad to see some poor reviews but I discovered Marios today after promising cheesey chips to little one while sister was at a party!! Oh my days, chessiest chips that I've ever had. Really good sized portions aswell and saveloy cooked fresh to order!! Lovely customer service and fab to see the efficiency of the staff as they worked and it was hygienic and clean!! We will make the trip from Denby for a takeaway very soon!!!

I come here every week and to say that their food is great would be a understatement because it's as good as chip shop food can get.
I recommend eating in as it's far better than getting the food wrapped and taking it home because it cools and doesn't taste as good as fresh out of the fryer.
If I could give more stars they'd get them ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

ordered online and paid so was just a matter of picking it up. food was piping hot and delicious

having waited for Marios fish bar to open, we have visited every week on Wednesday since.Here you get Fantastic cooked fish and chips, Wonderful family feeling, so clean .The Boss and Staff treat you like there own,including last week a birthday cake for my Birthday,If your in Alfreton this is the place to go.We will see you tomorrow Guys can't wait.

Amazing chips and chicken kebab meat cooked fresh to order. Delivery can be a bit slow, so avoid ordering online if you can walk in.

Very nice food. Take out meal for £2.49 before 4pm. After this time . Just under £5. Same meal in Derby. Would cost £8.75

10/10 vert good food, very clean and lady who served me was very friendly. I had fish and chips to eat in and it was perfect, probably the best I've had for along time.

We've had food from here quite a few times and it's always been delicious. One of the best chippies in the area.
