This business serves as a local shop and newsagent, a sandwich-and-a-drink outlet, and as a good value slap-up meal venue. This is all delivered with a cheery smile and the unwavering attention that a small, independent business brings to meeting your every need. Cuddly toy? No problem. We have some here.
I have been back for take away and sit down meals.

Stopped on our journey as we were dying for a cup of tea. Young couple owners were friendly and welcoming. Cakes looked lovely but we weren't hungry.

Passed the tea rooms many times but gone in. We decided to go in and what a revelation. Fantastic little tea room, wonderful atmosphere, great staff and lovely cakes. Our go to stop in the future for cake!

Popped in for a full English breakfast. Really friendly welcome and great breakfast.
Really quirky coffee shop playing old fashioned tunes serving food and drinks on bone China.
Fantastic display of home made jams, chutneys etc.
Highly recommend

Fantastic tea room, great service and yummy food. The English Breakfast (specially the mushrooms) and scones were to die for!! 100% recommended, we went to the Lake District for a long weekend and we had breakfast there every day.

Wow. Whilst driving to Lake Windermere we came across this place. Strangely set up but very quiet. Couldn't find any faults. Food, service, and the building is amazing. Spent ages looking at the local produce they sell also. If you can visit this place do it. Went with the family and we all said the same.

Wow! What an amazing find - such an unassuming front to a real gem of an old-fashioned store and tea room. Fabulous cakes, coffee and wonderfully friendly service to go with it. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. We were disappointed we couldn't stay for lunch as well! Really good value for money too. Will definitely make a point of going back if we're ever anywhere near again.

Beautiful tea rooms! Only small but it's cute and cosy. The service was amazing, the 2 men who served us were lovely. 4 of us had afternoon tea, I had a scone and a cuppa and my friend had a Cornish pasty chips and gravy which she enjoyed. I definitely recommend this lush little tea rooms.

This is like Aladdins cave. We have passed do many tines on the A65, but actually visited today. This is a large village shop, with all the usual groceries, plus a wide range of interesting and quirky gifts, homemade jams, etc, books to browse.
The menu is extensive, food delicious and beautifully served. And the young man waiting on us did an excellent job, obviously well trained. Also a donation car park at the back.
Thank you. We'll be visiting again!

We had a warm friendly greeting straight away and ordered a full English breakfast and pot of tea. The food was lovely with a great cosy atmosphere. We'll be definitely calling again. There are loads of locally sourced products to choose from too. Well worth a pop in .

A real little gem just off the main road to the lake District. Careful if you have a sweet tooth though - a lot of temptations inside.
