It is an excellent cafe in a beautiful location.

Large car park with disabled access.

The food and service were very good.
A busy cafe with plenty of seating and takeaway options.

Update: Our 2nd visit did not disappoint. We opted for the specials board with homemade giant sausage roll and brie and serrano ham on sourdough bread.

The food is excellent, service with a smile and a great location.

Amazing food. Had the Salt beef sandwich which was unbelievable. Superfood salad was also good!. Chocolate and almond cake was 10/10. All cooked in a coal fired oven 😋 Highly reccomend.

My first visit to the Goat Gap Cafe - a half-way house fir meeting up with and old friend. It was very busy so obviously popular - service was great too. The menu was quite simple - pleasantly so - the sort of place you could imagine going back to on a regular basis. We were early for lunch and arrived as people were finishing breakfast - can definitely see myself visiting for a full English!

Really nice lunch here. At first the prices seemed a bit high but the portion sizes make up for it. Nice pork wrap and special stew too

One of our favourite stood on our way to the Lakes or Scotland, where you can dine at breakfast, brunch, lunch or afternoon tea on home made or locally sourced produce.
Friendly, helpful and welcoming staff, with food at a very reasonable price.
Miss this one, miss out !!!

The best breakfast we had in a while!
Very efficient service with a smile. Food followed shortly after our coffee was delivered to our table, which I must say, it was very tasty and I drunk my coffee black, as I didn't want to spoil the taste with milk. Regarding breakfast- everything was hot and nicely presented. You could taste quality in bacon and sausages. Tomatoes very hot and cooked through (something other places fail to deliver).

I have to say that the cafe was almost full when we arrive, with people coming and going, which is nice to see considering location of the cafe.

I highly recommend to pop in here for breakfast, lunch or just ever so delicious coffee and cake!

Keep up good work, food quality and service as it doesn't go without beeing noticed!

Had a nice meal here on the way back from walking in the Lake District. Food is great. Plenty of space in the cafe and the carpark.

Passed many a time on the bike, so thought it was time to call in and check out what's on offer!.. Just caught the breakfast menu (Finishes at 11:30) and ordered the breakfast, can see why the place is always busy with cars in the carpark, a perfect brunch! Will be back! 🙂

Lovely airy cafe. Beautiful scenery (as long as no one is parked in front of the windows). Nice menu. We had salt beef sandwiches with chips/salad. Couldn't finish it all. Reasonably priced. Disabled access. Would visit again.

Having never stopped off here at Goat Gap Cafe we pulled in here after 3 nights stay in Bowness on Windermere.. Friendly staff in this amazing area with scenery that is off the scale.. Enjoyed our cuppa of Yorkshire tea plus delicious homemade fruit scone with scummy butter and jam for hubby... Seemed to be busy always, even had handmade gifts, postcards also birthday cards from local artist... Stop off at this incredible cafe treat !!!

I have watched this place evolve over the years and was delighted to find an opportunity to stop by this weekend. We'd been camping nearby and were coming back from Ingleton and stopped here for lunch.
The menu is simple, the service is great. One way in, one way out. I opted for the salt beef sandwich and scone. Husband opted for the club sandwich and a brownie. My salt beef was outstanding. Quite literally the best I've had outside of NYC. I understand from talking to the lovely server that its the owners own recipe. It's amazing. Husband was very happy with his club sandwich which was so big he thought he was going to have to dismantle it. Both came with chips and a side salad. The brownie was a huge slab of chocolate that my husband just demolished. We will come back, and would happily make the 90 minute journey from Leeds to do so.

I've driven past this place thousands of times ever since it used to be a little chef but never been (less than an hour from home) but today on our way to lakes we stopped for lunch and it was brilliant. Kids enjoyed their meals eating every last morsel, service was prompt and when my daughter spill her lemonade without having yet taken a sip they brought a fresh can over no problem, and mopped and dried everything for her immediately. Wife and I had toasties and fries and it was delicious. Can't fault it will be back.

A great quality place in almost the middle of nowhere. Loved the open, light airy feel, rustic clean decor. Friendly staff and the food was good quality and seemed to be sourced well. Great view, large windows. Open kitchen. Loved it.

Friendly helpful staff, spotlessly clean. Wheelchair ♿ accessible. Dog friendly. Outdoor seating too, if weather's fine. Lovely food & good selection of cakes & drinks at reasonable price. We had Lamb Kofta with pitta & salad.
