Appleross Inn Restaurant

We visit this restaurant on our way nc500. We stayed at the applecross as well. Restaurant is very small so it's get's quiet busy. But is it very cosy inside. We order 2 starters homemade soup lentil&ham and mango&crab. Both starters where very good. After we order 2 mains hand dived kings scallops and scottish sirloin and chips. Scallops where nice and fresh so the steak ...just the steak was little chewy. Not the best cut. Also tryed there local belgian chocolate icecream witch was good to. Overall food was good. Just everything was little bit pricey. For all the food and 4 drinks we spend almost £100 . #nc500

Had a surprisingly good Haggis and melted cheese sandwich, along a nice beer. The atmosphere is very nice, although I specifically sat on a stool. Bathroom is clean, accessible, convenient. Prices are quite a bit high, as expected from the only place serving decent food for tourists.

Had dinner here. Great service and food, not one bad thing to say. Thank you!

On est arrivés au bon moment, sinon attention il vaut mieux réserver !

Sadly, their reputation slipped today.
Waited for a table having arrived at our booked time.
Ordered braised lamb shank. Could not cut it with dinner knife provided, so requested steak knife. The meat was extremely tough to cut a d impossible to chew. It was either old mutton or incorrectly cooked.
A small gesture was not to charge for it.
