The Central Cafe

Friday night after 7. I had to wait about 10 minutes for 2 fish suppers, but the wait was well worth it. The fish was fresh and melt in the mouth and the batter was do crispy right yo the last mouthful. I normally have to give my hubby some of my fish and chips as I stop enjoying it when it goes soggy and cold, but I ate the lot!! Thank you for a fantastic, really enjoyable meal.

Best fish supers in town. Cheap and cheerful and if you have any problems just phone them and ask for paul hes a really really nice man and aims for 100% customer satisfaction. he takes pride in there food (cooked to order) definitely my go to chippy ;-)

Been going to the central for many years now and always five star service from the staff. Food is always cooked to order so it’s nice and fresh and sure maybe sometimes the deliveries are late on certain days but I believe the staff are doing their best they can do and don’t deserve the harsh criticism they get for it. I wouldn’t go any where else. 😁😁

Paul and his team managed to deliver around 80 perfect fish/sausage suppers to our party on a busy Saturday night, over the Christmas holidays.
The whole lot arrived over a 20 minute period and we’re delivered baking hot to Balmullo.
If your looking for a simple yet delicious way to cater for a party or just fancy some lovely food, then this is definitely the place to Go !

We had 80 portions of fish and chips delivers to our party in Balmullo from Cupar and our guest were thrilled . The good was fantastic . We were given all the sauces and accompaniment as well as cutlery . I cannot recommend the central cafe enough. Our go to for a fish supper always

Best takeaway in Cupar by far. Moved to the area 2 years ago and won’t go anywhere else for our weekend treat! Food is amazing and the staff are brilliant. 5 stars guys ⭐

Always on point......but last night, the food was perfection.

Great chippy! Light crispy batter and fish always tastes fresh. Plenty of other food, pizza's are brilliant as well. Never had a bad visit, and always made to feel welcome.

Food is ALWAYS fantastic, staff always helpful and efficient when I call. Never had to wait longer than stated for food. Can't praise or thank them enough for service and deliciousness!! 😁👍

We had an excellent donner kebab with salad and garlic sauce. White pudding fritters and black pudding which are so good. Yummy Raspberry milkshake. The food was hot and the salad and milkshake perfect. Used the App to order pay and arrange delivery which is so quick and easy. Definitely recommend the Central cafe, the pudding suppers are the best, fish is delicious and spot on chips.y son says the pizzas are amazing. If you haven’t already tried it we advise you to go there next for your carry out. Or eat in. The staff are cheery and friendly. Well done Paul and staff.

Haven't been here for quite some time but was in need of food and in area. Cafe was extremely well staffed. I was greeted upon arrival and my order was taken straight away. My only gripe is that no menu was visible but the owner explained that the electronic menu was broken so no matter. I ordered a sausage supper and bottle of coke. At £6.50 a deal. Meal arrived in under 5 mins which means the Sausages had been pre cooked but that's standard in takeaways. The food was piping hot which is always a priority for me. The food was wrapped in greaseproof paper which is far better than cardboard boxes. The chips tasted amazing. The sausages just as good. The portions were just about enough to satisfy a normal palate. Not too much but definitely not left short. . Will definitely return

Prompt delivery. Quality food. Great choice. Probably the best donner meat I have tasted. Seafood pizza is a real seafood medley, not the tuna and prawns usually offered elsewhere.

Fish and chips always fresh, well cooked and great portion sizes for the price.
Ordering for delivery is easy, we called and placed the order over the phone and payed with card too.

I have never been disappointed yet.

This is a traditional fish and chip shop, it also does pizza. Takeaway as well as a sit in café area. Recently refurbished and it has given it a fresh new look.

Everything is cooked to order and the food is really good. If I am in Cupar I make a point of stopping at this chip shop. Nice crisp batter on the fish and crispy real chips, with a pot of tea and some bread and butter this is a real feast.

You won't leave hungry after a portion of fish and chips from this shop for either a takeaway or a sit in meal as the portions are really generous. If you don't have a big appetite I would recommend sharing the portion as there would be plenty for two people.

This shop is almost always busy, a good sign because you know the food will be piping hot and freshly cooked. Staff are always friendly and helpful. They take cards as well as cash.

I ordered using the new app but due to my own fault made several errors and ordered stuff I did not want! 🤭
I phoned the shop and explained what happened. They amended my order then said they would phone at 9 when quite to refund the difference...which they did before nine
So all I can say is a huge thank you for your amazing service and wonderful food. 😁

This is a beautiful place to eat Fish and Chips and more. You are warmly greated and welcomed to sit in. The menu is based around a traditional chip menu. Spampi, pies, and all varieties of fish served with bread and butter and accompanying side dishes... wonderfully cooked and presented professionally. Oh and the tea brewed in a pot or a glass of wine if you're in the mood. Superb

Recently visited the Central cafe as I used to attend regularly been away from cupar for some years now so gave it a go there was a few things I pointed out to the owner Paul who promised to replace my food the next time I was in and he certainly did and everything was absolutely perfect can't fault the food and can't fault the Central customer care...thanks again Paul and staff I will certainly be back
