Very clean and very quick service...home made soup and everyone's food looked great and lovely design features...plenty of customers but not too crowded...Good menu...

Menu is varied, restaurant is clean, and really smart.

Service was friendly and helpful.

Ordered fish and chips which came in no time but was freshly cooked. Chips were perfect and the fish was the same.

Portion was huge, and well priced...

I will 100% be coming back here!

Called in on passing. staff were very efficient and friendly. I had the haddock in bread crumbs my wife had the scampi both were generous portions .would definitely call again when in the area.

Lovely family friendly cafe. Excellent tray bakes and fresh hot coffee.

Access from car park to the rear is great for the less mobile too!

Some of the best fish and chips I've ever eaten. Freshly cooked, piping hot, light crispy batter, and really well cooked chips. Not greasy and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Eat in or takeaway fish and chips. High standard of cooking. Very efficient ordering. Extremely environmentally aware. Recyclable packaging and delivery by electric vehicle. Highly recommended.

Just popped in for a breakfast before we headed back home. The breakfasts were brilliant hot, well presented and very tasty. The hot drinks were HOT not like some places where they are warm. The decor was tastefully done and very clean. Very happy to recommend and will definitely be back.

We came in for something to eat before going to the cinema. I have to say, we have never seen such impressive macaroni cheese and chips before. Huge portions and absolutely delicious. All washed down with a lovely cup of tea.
Both being vegetarian, this really hit the spot.
It was so good we've been back since and brought visitors with us to enjoy your food too.

Great fish n chips and great service - much better than others locally

Beautiful fish supper. Lovely clean & comfortable dining room. Had my elderly mum with me, and the staff really couldn’t do enough for us. I was a little confused about the ordering/paying system but the staff walked me through it so it was plain sailing. I would call again if I were in the area for sure.

Amazing Lunch Quiche was Amazing staff so friendly big plate full I couldn't eat it all my mum had soup all Homemade we defo be back . If u want 5 star food and service this is defo the place . . Cafe has recently been refurbished u can tell spotless clean lovely deco more than just a fish and chip shop fish looked lovely will have to try next time . Seating outside as well .

Up there with the best chippy I've ever had chips were amazing

First time this side of Scotland 🏴?????? decided to try the chippy and discovered you could sit in
Had the haggis and tatty scone butty and a battered sausage had no clue what it was till I got it i have to say it’s just chippy on a plate but the haggis was fantastic and the latte was good too
Difficult to park nearby but will be returning for chippy soon parking allowing

Always visit the cafe Royal when seeing the family. Always great food and wonderful service
