I have visited Maidenhead Aquatics at Pyle Garden Centre for many years to purchase supplies for my aquarium. They have a great variety of fish to choose from and the staff are helpful. Sam, in particular, is friendly and professional and provided me with helpful advice today.

I started working for this company back last year on the 8th of December 2022. Beforehand I was recovering from my break down and working as a waiter in a local pub near Tondu to help build myself up again. I always said to myself in my 30s it’s good to do a career change to challenge myself. My partner Josh told me there was a job advertised at Maidenhead Aquatics in Pyle next to the garden centre he works at. So I thought I give this a go. The manager Alice gave me an interview and to be fair it was the most relaxed interview I’ve ever had. She was so understanding with my Autism and willing to teach me about fish keeping. As the weeks went by my work colleague Sam passed on her knowledge to me and gave me challenges each week, especially the bottom feeding Corys. Alice helped put in a routine in place for me by writing things in the diary and encouraged me push more add-ons to sales. Both of them and a manager Steve from the Wenvoe store taught me all kinds of knowledge about fish like water hardness, water qualities and what species go with what. Our share holder Max has been teaching how to medicate Koi fish and help boost my sales. Our previous area manager Rob taught me how to promote lots of fish food, especially his favourite the Novotabs. As weeks turned into months my sale skills and my fishing keeping knowledge improved massively by hitting our targets. I started to notice my mental health was going back on track, along with my wellbeing too. The team there are willing to understand my autism and learn off me to make a better work environment to make me feel comfortable in. We not just a team but we are actually a big work family.

Great place it's got everything you need for your fish , and garden it's fantastic, it's also got a restaurant.

Excellent place for whatever type of tropical fish you keep. All the many types of food are there. Plenty varieties of fish to choose from. Recommended.

Nice shop they sell really good quality clothing and the new coffee shop is reasonable 👌

I have to say John was amazing and so helpful, he ran back and forth checking out different things and helping us get everything we need for us to set up a tank as we are new to tropical fish and has continued helping us for weeks after in choosing fish and again visiting today the both guys working were amazing with service and helping after slightly closing time! Thanks again for all the help!
Been up few times and John is always so helpful, friendly and welcoming, I can ask questions and ask information and always greeting with a smile. Definitely my local to go for any fish needs I have.

I am a regular visitor of Maidenhead Aquatic stores around the county, and I have my favourite staff members in each store. I was initially disappointed to see Alice had left Pyle for the Swansea branch but I was greeted by John who did his utmost to assist me. He was incredibly helpful and polite and has so much passion for the fish and fish enthusiasts who visit the store. As always, a pleasant experience. 👍🏻

Maidenhead Aquatics at Pyle Garden Centre is an impressive and informative stop off for anyone starting an outdoor or indoor water feature.
We are very impressed by the knowledge of the staff.
Both Sam and John offer a 5 STAR customer service.
On our several visits building up a knowledge base to begin an outdoor pond we have been SO VERY IMPRESSED BY SAM.
She has offered us superb advice, patience with our questioning and a thoroughly excellent 5 STAR SERVICE.

Never been to Maidenhead aquatics at Pyle Garden Center in my 50 years of fish keeping, always used local stores to me in Llanelli but my experience here has certainly changed my mind as the staff member John was very polite, kind, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his job. Really felt comfortable and the fact he knew so much information being he has only been working here since December. Well done young man you made our experience very enjoyable. Thanks again

This is my "go to" shop for anything to do with fish, plants or practically anything Aquatic really! very friendly staff! The manager Alice is brilliant. I have gone in a few times with pictures of plants I wanted that I couldn't get anywhere else and she has ordered them for me! She's very friendly, and really helpful too! Nothing is too much trouble for her or her staff! And they know their stuff!! Would highly recommend for all your aquatic needs!
