Sunday Roast is worth a drive over for.
Staying in local area on a Sunday and nothing is really open until 12:30 and saw that this place was open at 12. Called in on the off chance and got a table with no issues. Was told that alcohol is not served until 12.30 but could order non-alcoholic drinks and food... So seen the special board and Sunday Roast was listed.
I can fully recommend that... The Yorkshire Pudding is massive and the slices of beef are cooked to perfection if liking rare and just tasted excellent with the various veg also on the plate. The onion gravy was in separate gravy boat and added brilliantly to the meal. Full marks to the chief as the 2 roasts were made to a high standard.

If in the area or even slightly far away.... I would say call here on a Sunday as it's a meal to set you up for the day.

There is a waterfall at the back you can walk to but as it's February and just eaten...nice to look at from a far...

Regarding the ghosts. I was there quite a few years ago sleeping in the attic bedroom. Sometime after midnight I was awaken by a curious scraping noise. I was sure it was my hiking mates. Opening the door, it was a peacock. Evidently it flew in an upper window. You have to visit this place. Spend time in the pub then stagger up your room. Wonderful.

Restaurant only review -
I’m still thinking about the steak and Guinness pie three days later. It was absolutely fantastic - fall apart beef and gravy was so tasty. Special mention to how crispy the pastry was. If you can get past the taxidermy on the way in this is a worthwhile stop for a meal. Staff were also lovely, a very homey feel on the whole.

Creepily awesome!!! We spent one night, the team was waiting for us, late, as we hadn't well planned our journey. And more, they took time to tell the whole lot of local scary stories around a very nice glass of whiskey. Clean, convenient, but most of all the decorations and the ambience will keep you.... Well awake?... And by the way, great breakfast!!! Thanks to the fantastic team of the Drovers Inn!!

After staying for two nights including breakfasts and dinners a review was in order to account for the excellent experience we had. Firstly do not fear ending up in a room across the road unless intended so, the website is very straightforward and it’s obvious which room you are booking into. The room descriptions also specify whether you will have your own bathroom, so be sure to read the description before you select one to avoid making an arse of yourself. The food both at breakfast and dinner was delicious and the portion sizes were great, a good variety of Scottish options available. Amazed people have commented about sticking napkins in their dinner as that’s generally not done here in Scotland but certainly wouldn’t expect it to add to the dish. Would recommend if you don’t want a very small amount of oil on your fish batter you take it out to the bear in reception and have a yourself a salad instead of trying to get crafty with a perfectly good fish and chips. Having had eight different items off the menu we sampled a good amount of the food available, all dishes were well prepared and of a high quality. The menu offered something to suit everyone, including vegetarian options, and a menu authentic to an inn approximately 318 years old. Based in the mountains, there’s also a vast array of vegetation available surrounding the establishment if the menu does not take your fancy. A very cool old hotel with many original features intact, and great staff with a good sense of humour. We’ll be back.

Lovely food. Pleasant staff. Met the ghost who was a positively charming fellow. He smelled of sweaty old sheep and cheap illicit whisky. He was a drover after all.

The Best Pub In Scotland.....in 1705! I love the Drovers as a stop on a journey North. It's ancient and full of history with a wonderful selection of spirits and beer. It's at the north end of Loch Lomond in beautiful surroundings and there's really not a lot NOT to love. It's dog friendly too!! I've never stayed in their rooms but it's on the to do list!

Wonderful atmospheric pub with some fascinating decor. Those of you who are into animal rights wouldn't like it as there's lots of taxidermy around but you can smell the history of the place.

Always guaranteed a great night in here, great vibe and atmosphere and always ends up one big party talking to everyone. I love going here for an overnight. The food is also fab, I would travel here just for their steak and Guinness pie! Excellent service and staff can't do enough for you.

Regarding food, we found a menu well filled with typical dishes from the region.
The quality, quantity and flavor are fantastic and recommended.
The price is adjusted to quality and supply.
Vehicle parking very close to the door.

We arrived at The Drovers Inn located in Inverarnan. We got here by a coach that took us around some of the best places in Scotland and if it stopped here it must mean this place was a hidden gem. I wouldn't have thought this pub was open because on the outside it looked abandoned but inside it was filled with stuffed animals and there were a lot of people visiting. Despite the queue in the pub, our food was made quickly and it was incredibly tasty. The staff there knew some sign language and it was awesome being able to talk to them and get a little history of this place. It's a haunted hotel which added to the charm. I would love to visit here again for sure because I had a great experience here. Thank you so much for accommodating us!

Absolutely loved my Drovers Inn experience. Friendliest staff I have ever encountered in any hotel stay. Food was superb. The atmosphere of the historical dwelling was palpable and the beauty of the area outstanding. One ticked off my bucket list that did not disappoint.

An excellent Inn that is reputedly haunted. Called in with a coach party for a quick visit therefore didn't see the bedrooms. The public rooms however were very atmospheric and welcoming. Cosy and warm, if it is haunted it must be by friendly welcoming spirits.

Been here for the 2nd time and i love this place. This time had gone during Halloween and my god, such amazing decor and scary vibes.

They do amazing food and have good options for alcohol!

Do visit the place and get an experience to drink at one of the oldest pubs of scotland

Found this lovely pub while exploring Scotland in our campervan, were able to stay in the car park as long as we got food and drinks. All staff are lovely and made us feel so welcome, including our little dog! Food was delicious and good pints!
