The Caeffatri Restaurant and Bar

Popped in for some food on Wednesday by the off chance and it was the best decision we’ve made! All the staff were very friendly and our server and the lady behind the bar were beyond friendly and chatting and very welcoming to us and our little boy. The restaurant was very quiet when we arrived and the staff were very accommodating to our very noisy unsettled little boy. The food was incredible! I highly recommend the buttermilk chicken burger it was beautiful and very filling, my partner really enjoyed his koftas and the kids portions are a very reasonable size. We can’t wait to visit again!

Tucked away, behind buildings, this place is a hidden gem. An unassuming building that is much nicer inside than expected.

The food was fantastic; reasonably priced, brilliant portions (I think I'm still full) and tasted amazing. My only criticism is that the mac and cheese didn't seem to have any sauce at all, but it was a side and everything else was so, so, good.

The service was great, checked in on but not too much, and left to enjoy our meals. It's definitely a place to revisit.

Fantastic Sunday lunch, took my parents and they couldn't say enough good things about it and they are particular about their roasts. Staff were amazing and so friendly and welcoming. I've been here for food on other days and can confirm that the menu is well thought out, seasonal and cooked with a lot of skill. Highly recommend this business.

Fantastic all round! Lovely home cooked food of good quality and generous portions. The only thing better than the food was the accommodation and friendliness of the staff. All 3 were amazing and were really interactive with our energetic 11month old.

It isn't always easy to keep the baby occupied for an entire meal but we were able to enjoy 2 courses and drinks for £60.

Can't fault it guys.

What a lovely welcome awaits you in The Caeffatri. Had a meal there yesterday, it was the best meal we have had out for a while. Much tastier than other local venues!! Desserts lovely too. Will certainly be going there again soon. Thanks 😊

Absolutely beautiful food & service! I had mango glazed chicken skewers with cous cous!! 😋 followed by Creme bruleé with fruit compote, it was delicious! Nice coffee with a lovely little Welsh cake (came with the coffee) couldn't fault it. I'll definitely be back!!!!

This is a wonderful pub and restaurant, round in the back streets in Bridgend, I did know this existed. The food was very well made and most enjoyable. They serve a wide variety of meals and drinks. My wife and I will definitely go back again soon

Absolutely amazing food, first class service, lovely clean environment, great staff and very reasonably priced food considering the high quality. Also lots of parking. Catered for my daughters birthday. It was no trouble for them to bring a cake out which we provided.

Our Mothers Union had a lovely meal today . 14 ladies .Every meal was beautifully presented and cooked to perfection.Can reccomend the salmon pork chops and fish and chips . Thank you to all the waitresses who served us .Welcoming smiling and efficient. We ll def come again .

Go for lunch after going to outlet today. We ordered 5 mains including, seabass, pork chop, lamb, battered cod and curry pork. All are nice and great taste. Especially like the pork chop and Seabass with chopped potato with nice sauce. My family enjoyed tge nice environment and friendly staff. I shall come again.

Called here on the off chance after a hospital visit. Had been here many years ago and forgotten about it as its a bit off the beaten track. Remembered it last week after a visit to another local hostelry. Absolutely amazing. Food was fantastic, service good even though we were advised it might be a bit slow as they had a large party in, the wait was negligible. Lovely staff. Thoroughly recommend this place. Well worth a visit. We will be back.

Great tasty food. Fast and friendly service. Tried a few weeks ago and have been back a few times since. Daytime, night time or to watch a Match. Great atmosphere ! Served by Sally who was lovely ☺

Went for dinner with friends last night. I had the buttermilk chicken burger which was massive and delicious and the chips were the nicest I’ve had in a restaurant. My friends had 3 starters each instead of a main. Everything was perfect. Large portions, beautifully presented and piping hot. Soft drinks were priced reasonably. Staff were friendly and helpful. I can’t think of a single negative other than we were all too full for a desert, which all sounded lovely! Overall I would highly recommend and I will certainly be back.

First time visiting today for Sunday lunch. After reading the wonderful reviews we were hoping it would be nice and it was actually fabulous. Loved the Glamorgan vegetarian crumble, roasties, vegetables,

The 2 waitresses were so friendly and gave brilliant customer care.

Had a wonderful few hours hiding away here for a spot to do some work and chill out. Staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Food was lovely and the place very cosy. Loved it.

Popped in for lunch mid week, lovely food and staff who were really friendly, helpful and accommodating. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again soon.

Lovely meal out. we struggled to find somewhere serving food on a Monday night, thank god for this place! The food was lovely and very reasonably priced. if your fed up of the chain pubs with their microwaved junk then give this place a try. Lovely service, very welcoming and staff very attentive. will definitely return.
