The Hussar

Warm welcome from the owners, plenty of space to park outside the hotel. Check-in is at the bar, and the entrance to the rooms is separate and is off to the side of the building. The room was clean and spacious, with a kettle for tea and coffee. Just up the road from the main town and not too far from the seafront .

Went to a baby shower which was being held in the marquee outside in the garden, the marquee had been made into a beautiful venue. We had a very large cheese platter which was absolutely lovely and very different 😁.

Have to share my thoughts on the Sunday roast, amazing!!👏 just cooked to perfection, so much of it too, like a proper home cooked roast, lovely friendly hosts, will definitely be going more often.

Top service & Food was lovely full of Great flavours @ reasonable prices too.

A welcoming local pub where you get the look...you know you are a stranger... OK you are from down the road...or somewhere else on the planet ...but then the welcome smiles start and you are served with a smile...and the locals are hospitable, and the place is clean as well as cosy... and the laughter and conviviality starts.

Really enjoyed our stay here as the owners were so nice! They made us feel so welcome and everything so easy.
Can easy walk to the seafront or a taxi only cost £4 so the location is good if you want to be a little away from the town. Also lots of parking.
Shower was good too. But the owners were the star of the show, I wish every hotel would have such nice hosts.

Hosts and staff were very welcoming. The food in the pub was delicious. Rooms were a little tired but clean, very comfortable and reasonable in cost. One concern I did have was about the room being above a pub, I was assured by the host that any noise from the pub would be finished by 11:30pm (it was) however with the windows and curtains in the room closed you could hardly hear it.

It might be a situated a little outside of Margate but it was very easy to get to, about 20min walk into Margate (buses directly from the town / station stop very close to the hotel)

Can't comment on the hotel side of things. But for a pub and the food 5 stars. Try the Thai menu. Absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. Other food just as good. The owners and the staff are friendly and welcoming which really makes a difference in a pub.

Arrived to a very friendly welcome booked table for 4 Sunday lunchtime.
Excellent service, nothing too much trouble, wonderful staff.
The Chef came out to check we were happy with the food it was excellent, 3 courses all homemade piping hot and plentiful wonderful meal.
The Chef organised chocolate cake to celebrate our friends birthday 🎂 and sing Happy birthday so kind of her thankyou.
Will definitely return.

Great service, nice location with plenty of parking and the food was amazing. Really enjoyed it.

Me and my partner stayed at an Airbnb nearby and came here for lunch. We were absolutely pleased with the customer service of the landlady and actually stayed for quite a few drinks. The food was spectacular but the service alone is enough for us to want to come back again. Highly recommend.

Absolutely brilliant. Local family PUB. Lovely outdoor area. We booked for the Thai evening meal for 6 people. The lovely chef came out to meet us personally , we ordered through the menu , everything we ordered was amazing. Tasty well cooked food. Thank you " Hussar " we had a great evening.

The one if the best Sunday lunches in the area and so worth the money....highly recommended. Service was friendly and 100% as was the landlady and the atmosphere....I will be back...

We used the Hussar for a function (wake), the buffet was excellent and service was outstanding. Dave and Michelle made us all feel welcome at a time of sadness . Would definitely recommend the Hussar for party's, functions etc.

Had a lovely Easter Sunday Lunch - it was just a choice of roasts, but it was exactly what we wanted and the food was fantastic. Very traditional pub layout but felt very welcome

Had the best quality Sunday Dinner at The Hussar at an extremely reasonable price.

Last minute Sunday Roast booking. The food was second to none as was the service. Food was fresh, generation portions and really tasty. Would highly recommend if you like and authentic roast dinner. Definitely will be back
