Holiday Inn Express Ramsgate - Minster, an IHG Hotel

Being huge fan of Holiday Inn Express, this property was no different. The whole set up is geared towards family having good time. Though the property showed age, it was well maintained and we did not face any issues. Fact that you can request sofa bed rooms works perfectly for a family on budget. With breakfast as default it just added bonus (big one). Staff at the time of check in was cheerful and helping.
Only thing I will request is if they can add ability to connect phones to TV.

Staff here are very helpful and always polite. Lots of on site parking and the rooms are a great size too. Room for improvement on the breakfast side would be to have a few more vegetarian option in the cooked breakfast. The restaurant for dinner was great with plenty of options.

Excellent customer service, comfy bed, reasonable breakfast and free parking. I was working locally with an early start and the staff made an effort to get most of the breakfast items out way before the published opening time. Brilliant.

Lovely big choices for breakfast and takeaway bag so no food waste.
Very good with gluten free food sausages and bread excellent freshly cooked on request.

Was a lovely big room with a lovely comfort big bed bathroom and shower was amazing. Breakfast was great with plenty to choose from

Stayed here for a number of nights (5 total) this trip. The staff were fantastic especially Amy who needs a mention! Walking back in and seeing someone there with a smile and a chat nothing was too much trouble.

Breakfast was great when we ate due to going early we had it twice in five days to which was ample.

Rooms were clean and tidy.

One slight improvement could be a microwave in the room.

Super helpful staff, decent breakfast and nice room. Holiday inn might be relatively standard but you know what to expect and get a consistent service.

Had to stay here when missed train back to London and it was the only place with rooms. £150 was a bit steep given you can often get a room for 1/3 of that price but its a comfortable and easy stay, quick check in and they have extras like toothbrush, womens stuff and are happy to help with queries.

Great experience at what is usually a fairly cheap price (just not this time).

Clean right through to the corners! Interesting historic bar and breakfast centre. Terrifying fast main roundabout nearby visible from the dining tables. Car parking laid out well, easy to spot signage. Room shower has secure rail to help access. Lovely staff. Book via their own website for offers and loyalty discounts. Good basic wifi , breakfast and toiletries included. Nearby petrol, on way to many cultural interests. A good midpoint for touring families with older children or less mobile people. Given an extra star because the covid difficulties are being sorted out so the guest doesn't get bothered by that (single use menu, info sheet etc) which makes it uncluttered and unfussy. Room could sleep 4 adults or be workplace. Nifty designed interiors.

Fab hotel, staff were lovely & helpful. The room was clean & the bed was very comfy. The breakfast was hot & delicious.
Hotel is ideal for Ramsgate, Broadstairs & Canterbury.
I would definitely book to stay there again.

Found some notes from a visit in the latter half of 2019, thought I’d belatedly share them:
- Good soap and soap fixtures
- Good shower head, pressure
- Nice clean shower stall
- Nice big towel
- Separation of lifts from hallway
- Nice shelves and hangers for clothes
- Spacious, good colour scheme
- Newish TV with decent channel selection
- Clean
- Pillows! Firm, soft, feather
- Hairdryer outside

I can also recall that when I was trying to catch a taxi outside, a seemingly random stranger walking by helped me out and gave me tips for the train station. Only when he walked into the hotel did I realise that based on how he was dressed, he was probably the manager coming in for his shift.

All in all, very pleasant stay!

Amazing and helpful staffs (very friendly too!) Have a rest before coming back to London or before going to the continent. Mixed Breakfast (English and Continental breakfast) included and up to your content. Or feel like visiting the Kent region with Margate, Ramsgate, Broadstairs (don't ask! It's still on my to-go visiting list) or Sandwich (as previous) or Minster (On-Thanet it is) or just simply have your daughter birthday near-by or her wedding going by and have a quiet rest. Plenty of spaces to park your car (electric chargers coming soon) and COOP convenient store included in the service station in case (I don't know maybe you are using a motorhome coming from the continent? Or last minute home shopping!) As you can see I'm saying too much for this nice hotel!!! Come and see for yourself!!!

I stayed here whilst working locally and I couldn't speak more highly of the service I received during my stay. Due to Covid restrictions, meals had to be eaten in rooms. The system in place for this was really well organised and the staff were so helpful throughout my stay. In particular the night manager (whose name I can't remember) went above and beyond and was so helpful right up until my colleagues and I left.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone. As well as the great service, the rooms were very clean and the hotel was quiet. The food was fresh and there was plenty of it.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The room was very clean. The staff were very friendly and very helpful and couldn't do enough to help. The food was delicious. Definitely would stay again and would recommend. Thank you to the team for a pleasant and comfortable stay.

The staff were absolutely lovely - nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast and the evening meals were fantastic. Special thanks to Don, Ian, Michelle and Zoe for putting up with us.
Great place to base yourself when visiting Ramsgate, Margate and Broadstairs.

Great little hotel, nothing too fancy but it does the job. Great staff. Looks like it has had a refit as rooms much better. Nice touch like bathroom has a blue light so you don’t have to put the big light on in the middle of the night!

Great experience. Fast check-in, good room with plenty of space, huge double bed & spotless bathroom. Brilliant selection for breakfast and excellent service and food. Restaurant serves good range of dishes & given it's a hotel bar the prices are not rip off.

Just spent a couple of nights here in a mini break around kent. The rooms were clean and well stocked. The power shower was brilliant. Buffet breakfast included in the price was gorgeous. Lots of choice. Staff friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back again.

I love this holiday inn, it's an historical building that's been tastefully done. The room are great and the local area has all you could need in terms of food or simply eat in at their restaurant that serves great food. There is a steak house down the road about ten minutes walk but the staff and the food is above and beyond. Book here for a great night.
