What a lovely inn! The decor is great, it looks very cozy inside. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The inn is dog friendly! We had Sunday roast there and it was delicious and good value for what you get. A big range of delicious puddings as well. I tried the tart with salted caramel custard and oh.my.god. heaven! The only downside would be not enough veggie/vegan options but that might be the case for just Sunday roast due to having so much meat etc cooking.

What a wonderful place! The salmon fillet with samphire was absolutely delicious and probably the best I’ve ever eaten! Really friendly and made a big fuss of our little dog too! Would definitely recommend!!

We took a detour solely to come here. They are dog friendly and the place is super comfy. The menu's ingredients are all from local farms and you can taste the difference and quality in every dish. The Salutation is proof that the British can definitely cook! We would love to stay more just to have time to try all their dishes. Toilet is clean, service is fast and attentive, music is excellent. A good place for the whole family or just to have the best pint on your own looking out the windows. Don't miss the opportunity!

Great Sunday roast, good service and nice atmosphere. All went well, reasonable price. The parking space is a bit small and can be full very quick. The yorkshire pudding was delicious. If you are in the area, worth a visit.

Stumbled across on the way to Castle Combe and popped in for some pub lunch. Beautifully decorated British pub and one of the best burgers I've ever had (Tip: we added the Halloumi 😋)

I pass this lovely old pub every week so decided to pop-in for a meal. The food was excellent, very friendly locals - human and canine and the staff were top notch. The carrot & cumin soup was terrific as was the sea bass... indeed the whole meal was tasty an dwell priced. We will be back, recommended!

Lovely little pub just off the M4. The interior is impressive and feels like you’re dining in a grand Tudor hall.
Service was friendly and the food was delightful. As other reviewers have recommended the teriyaki pork belly is the highlight of the menu. The fish is also worth a mention as it tasted incredibly fresh - the benefit of sourcing ingredients as locally as possible. Would definitely make the journey out here again or stop off if travelling along the M4.

Food: ☆☆☆☆☆ great pub food. The pork belly was very delicious.
Hospitality/service: ☆☆☆☆☆ very friendly waiter and waitress
Environment: very comfortable environment. Its interior was designed in old English style with exposed oak structures and bare face stone walls. The exquisite environment enhanced our overall dining experience.

We came here today for lunch and it was a great experience. It’s an upmarket country pub that has a very welcoming atmosphere.
Parking can be difficult. We came on a Sunday lunchtime and it was quite busy so had to drive round and few times to find somewhere safe to leave the car.
We had three courses and a few drinks and it was pretty average pricing for the type of venue. The food was absolutely amazing and the portion sizes were good. We had a Sunday roast and there was a good amount of veg with well cooked potatoes and a large Yorkshire pudding.
The staff were all friendly and attentive, being quick to refill drinks and check in. The little touches really added to the visit, like the cute coffee art.
The pub is dog friendly and there were lots of them when we visited, which we loved.

Cosy country pub, well kept Bristol Beer Factory beers (& more on hand pump, usual lagers etc ). Excellent burger with super chips. Very good Mac & Cheese too. Liked the emphasis on local ingredients. Friendly service. Tuesday lunch, but still busy enough to make a lively atmosphere. First visit, but sure we will be back, based on this trip.

Popped in Saturday lunch time without booking. Luckily we were early and so managed to get a table. Food and service were exceptional - we all had Fish & Chips and drinks. Batter was crip, fish was perfectly cooked and the chips were crisp outside and fluffy inside. What a find out in the Country. When we left the place was full and the atmosphere was buzzing. Obviously a case of 'you do right - and they will come'! We will book next time.

What a fantastic meal!! Good value, and absolutely perfect flavours! Great friendly service, very efficient - lovely quiet atmosphere with everyone eating, chatting and having a great time! A pity we live so far away - would love to try the rest of the menu.

Truly one of my all time favorite pubs in England. Why? The food is off the charts delish. It’s super cute and quaint. Betty the roaming scruffy dog is adorable. But best of all is Hannah. She was our waitress extraordinaire. We all felt like she was our BFF before the night was out. She suggested drinks, meals and desserts (puddings) that were perfect. There’s plenty of parking so get yourself in the car and get over there.
