Absolutely awesome food highly recommended will definitely be going again, never had such brilliant chips in the 60yrs I've been on this planet

this chippy is seriously the best chippy in Llanelli Barr none it is run by the hardest working ladies I know their food is second to none for taste and really reasonable prices it's my "Local" and the ladies are lovely so nice and you can have a good laugh with them 10 out of 10 highly recommend you go there

Really nice quality food and very good portions too. Love it here and is worth travelling to as it's not that local to us.

Best chips I've had in a long time
Crispy and piping hot. The sausage in batter was also best I've tasted. Batter plentiful and sausage had no bits in it.
Will definately call again and recommend

Bit of a wait but after tasting my food l understood why it was so busy. Every bite was mouth wateringly delicious. I haven't had fish & chips in so long so to find a chippy that does Gluten free on Monday & Tuesday evening is like heaven. Thank you so so much. 👌👌👌

Picture the scene, my good lady wife and I are getting on in age, but don't tell the wife 🙂 on the way to pick up our prescriptions we passed the Ocean blue fish bar, for no reason what so ever my wife said,"Gluten free fish and chips" "I said what!! I've never heard anything like it in all my born days, I haven't had fish and chips since I was 18, I'm now nearly 70, we both decided not to eat fried food so we could live a longer life with clean arteries that don't resemble the inside of a car tyre. My wife went online checked out the cooking of said items and said,"wow, no lard, no dripping, shall we have some between us.
Covid rules applied, so on with the mask, hands sanitized in I went, three people infront of me, with a good 2m gap between us, I confirmed with the serving staff that the food was definitely gluten free, ordered our fish and chips then was given a beeper and asked to wait in the car which I thought was brilliant, minimising the risk of catching or spreading infection on to others.
Beeper told us come and collect, it was properly boxed and off we went, I have to say the food was delicious, the lightness of batter, nothing dripping in oil, beautiful.
Would recommend to all.

Lovely chippy with polite and friendly staff. Standard chip shop food and a few homemade dishes. Fish is always fresh and good light batter. Very clean and tidy.

This has to be the best chippy that i've been in for a long time - it even beats those up north! The batter on the fish is always crisp and light and the chip portion size is just right. Yes you probably will have to wait for the food to be cooked but don't you want it fresh rather than floating around all day in oil?
The price is average for the area.
What I especially like is the consideration the owners have for the quality/environmental factors of the raw food.

The chap above does not know what he is talking about. We have been to the Blue Ocean Fish bar on 2 occasions and we have not had a bad meal. We went first time with the family and used the restaurant and had a fantastic meal, we did not have to waite long and the price was very good for 6 of us. We have also used the take away and again was very impressed and was the best chips i have had in a long time. My parents recently moved to the area and they go here all the time and have never had a bad meal. The prices are good and the staff are polite and we will go there again next time we visit the area.

Loved our lunch at the ocean blue. It was very busy and the waitress was running to and fro! Fantastic cod and fishcake. The best part was their beautiful sundaes!! Would recommend!

Best fish n chips this side of Whitby, and they serve haddock. They also serve other fish but for me it's all about the haddock 🐟🍟. You can sit in and eat too and the staff are lovely and do they're best to accommodate you👍
