Porthdy Gatehouse

Myself and my partner first booked this little getaway in may of 2023. We were hooked, instantly. We returned for our first anniversary in May of 2024 with our 4 legged fur ball, Poppy, who was given her very own sign posted field! With all the new smells to be jad and ample space for running around, she enjoyed her little break as much as we did and it's pretty clear Darren and Kasia are friends for life. The little honey pot, milk, eggs and sausages were all divine. We can't wait to come back! It was just what we needed.

What can I say except….Fabulosa!!! Darren and Kash are wonderful hosts and they really know how to lay on a big welcome. Two weeks of R&R was what we had in mind and we got so much more: brilliant company, excellent food (all fresh), and gorgeous accommodation. We didn’t want to leave but we came home feeling refreshed and ready to face the world. If you want an out of this world break with all your creature comforts catered for then I would encourage you to give this place a go. Five stars and more 👍

A little piece of heaven nestled in a quiet corner of Wales. Darren & Kasia are outstanding hosts who go out of their way to make sure you have a 5* holiday. The fresh eggs from their happy, free range hens are the best I've ever tasted. Lots of places to visit nearby including Aberglasney and Botanic Gardens. Highly recommended.

One of the best weekend stays I and my other half have been on. Lovely cosy annexe with everything we needed and the most fabulous gift basket you could hope for! Friendly helpful owners and a peaceful and pretty location.

Just returned from a lovely relaxing week at Darren and Kasia's annex accommodation. The place is top class and has everything you need for a stay away from home. Its location is wonderful. Great views out in the countryside , no noise, no neighbours, no traffic, just soothing and relaxing sounds from the animals seen on their smallholding farm. The owners of the property made us feel so welcome meeting us on our arrival with a small essentials food basket, (thanks Kasia) and again there when we said our thanks and farewells. We will certainly recommend the Porthdy Gatehouse to others and will return in the very near future. Kind regards Pam and Rod

Lovely location with fab views and such lovely hosts , fantastic greeting pack and made to feel so welcome . If you need peace and quiet its the place to relax .

We had an amazing stay at Porthdy Gatehouse.

Kasia and Darren were such welcoming and fun hosts out was a joy to be around them!

The cottage is really well equipped and looks freshly decorated / fitted out. On cooler nights the wood burner really warms the place up and is a nice centrepiece.

The little terrace with table and chairs had fantastic views across the valley with the sunset perfectly framed (in mid June) and at night the sky was so dark we saw thousands of stars and the milky way!

It's so peaceful and beautiful there we didn't want to leave!

Can't wait to come back to Porthdy :)
