We have taken over the years several pairs of favourite footwear to Chris who has without exception provided a first rate service in either being honest when the shoes have reached the very end, or more usually, done a fantastic renovation job in making them as good as new. He is truly a master at what he does, and if you have some loved footwear, you can do no better then keep them in top condition by taking them to Chris when they are a little tired and in need of tlc

Brilliant shoe repairers, got my favourite old sheepskin slippers up and running again. Also, cuts keys and sells commemorative mugs in glass and metal and shields. You can get your things mended there and pretty much anything leather.

I took a pair of Konigs riding boots to this shop as one of the crowns needing reaffixing. I asked for recommendations on Facebook and everybody thought this was the place. A real old fashioned craftsman and a perfect job and to top it off a very honest price for the job and my boots got waxed too!

Excellent quality shoe and boot repair by Chris, at a very reasonable price. Every time I visit Wales I take my boots for a heel replacement or repair. My boots look like new after Chris has finished with them. I highly recommend Chris as a shoe craftsman.

Chris has been brilliant with his response and helping with my bridal shoes, to make sure they're right for our big day. Had a walking boot that needed some stitching to repair it. Chris was able to do this while I went for a coffee. Excellent service, very friendly and helpful and much cheaper and quicker than sending boots away for repair. Well worth the hour's drive each way.

Really happy with the quality and service. I took my designer handbag to Chris as the zip needed to be fixed and he sourced an identical zip and has fixed it perfectly. Lovely friendly service and excellent quality, I would highly recommend.

Always very helpful and gives a great service

I took a Rucksack zip to be replaced, Chris was so honest, explaining it would cost me more for a replacement zip,he suggested I buy a new one. I bought one in the sale at Mountain Warehouse. "Thank you Chris, you really did me a favour". Definitely recommend Chris the Cobbler everytime.

What a lovely guy and his workmanship is excellant. Have had a pair of boots for years but the heals and soles were worn and looking really bad. After Chris doing his magic on them they are looking like new. Highly recommend. A very satisfied customer.

EXPENSIVE PAIR OF SHOES SAVED!
I accidentally sprayed anti-bac on my shoes from a free standing hand sanitiser in a retail shop. I was devastated. Chris was very helpful, he first try to clean them, but it was too ingrained in the leather. We then agreed it would be best to dye them. Chris used the old fashion dye which has transformed the shoes. Although a different colour they look fab! A £400 pounds pair of shoes saved by his well homed skills and expertise. I am very grateful to Chis, he was professional at all times, checking with me each step of the way, I would highly recommend him for any job, mine was complex but done to a high standard. When it came to charging me it was more than reasonable under £30. Diolch o galon Chris.

He has kept my favourite boots going for years, always friendly and helpful, he does get very busy but I won’t go anywhere else.

I desperately needed an old bureau key for a 1960's bureau.. Chris was my last resort.. I had one cut and it fits my piece of furniture perfectly !! Being an upcycler, I regularly come into furniture with keys missing.. I know where to come in future.. Thankyou so much.. I'm absolutely thrilled 🙂
