Last night my son who is severely disabled with a mental age of 2, but 23 years old and 10 stone, came home and his knee was dislocated, he was in excruciating pain, scared and not able to understand why he was hurting. my husband went to doctors and explained, the German doctor (I apologise for forgetting her name) was amazing she straight away sorted prescriptions out for pain relief whilst we were waiting for the ambulance...we appreciate the quick response from her the nurse who was helping and receptionist... he is now home with it braced and a lot happier than he was. So thank you so much for you help...

Have found them to be helpful throughout the pandemic, and whilst access has inevitably been patcher, I've still had all routine bloods etc done, and seen GP when necessary. I use them frequently and am happy with the service.

A certain Doctor has left me feeling depressed and without any hope of relieving my pain. Not interested in actually listening to what I'm saying, will write a letter of complaint.

Very very slow seeing people appointments always 30minutes + after actual time don't bother turning up early been made to wait over a hour on a few occasions

Without a shadow of a doubt, the worst doctors practice I’ve ever had the misery of dealing with. Incompetent, unprofessional and quite frankly useless. If I could give a 0 star rating, I would. So many bad experiences, it beggars belief! My wife was even told by one of the doctors to contact a drug manufacturer directly for advice on the suitability of their products for her illness! I kid you not.. Disgraceful.

Wish I could give zero stars.

Where to start

My 1st interaction with this lot was last year when I went in with obvious tonsillitis, asked for antibiotics to treat it and was told it was just an ulcer on my throat. 2 weeks later with a nearly swollen shut throat from now severe tonsillitis and a call to 111 and finally get the medication needed.

Next joyful interaction with them having a pre existing and documented issue that over many years has required heavy pain relief a few times year, instead of simply giving me what needed need they mess me around for 2 days before making me drive to the furthest possible branch to see someone. Left waiting in the waiting room 20 minutes past my appointment to finally see someone. Who the proceeded to not prescribe the medication that’s been proven over a number of years to work but to prescribe something else.

The icing on the cake the person writing that script couldn’t sign them, when I asked for it I was told I had to wait for An actual
Doctor to sign it. Explained I was already late for work and was just directed to, “take a seat”, unfortunately as I’d explained I didn’t have time for that so didn’t even get the (unlikely to work) script they’d done.

So if you need to use this doctor just find a way to self medicate what you need as this shower of flotsam couldn’t get it right if the answer was tattooed on their eyeballs.

AVOID AT ALL COST
I was told to go to A&E for a bit of back pain I've had (on & off) for over a decade, which is annotated on my records. I only required my standard repeat medication.

If 0 stars were a possibility, that's what I give.

Jan 2023 experiencing chest pains so was looked at and told would be referred to Cardiology. Followed up Nov 2023 as had heard nothing, to be told that the referral was never made. I have to run the gauntlet of getting an appointment again and start from scratch. Unacceptable.

Tried getting help for mental health, adhd and depression/anxiety and got told to “find a house and a job” and you will be fine. Getting shouted at by a doctor is not professional.

Incredibly poor level of GP care, both in terms of availability and quality. 2 weeks for a disinterested and somewhat ill-informed GP phone call with a further 4 weeks quoted for a blood test appointment. Forced to take private GP route. Within 2 weeks had face to face consultation, blood tests, diagnosis, and referral. Glad to have now transferred out of this practice.

Only putting 1 star so that my review will be posted but they deserve none.

My grandmother is dead because of the gross negligence from doctor Williams. An elderly lady of 82 with a broken back and you don’t believe in painkillers and forget to put a referral through for occupational therapy? Vile, because there was no duty of care no logical thinking of getting a district nurse, no anything she is now gone and we are left with a gapping hole in our family.

You wouldn’t even go out and see her. It too for me and my mother to attend the surgery to get someone to come out and even the nurses were stood there nearly crying telling the receptionist to do an urgent district nurse referral.

You should all be ashamed of yourselves, the negligence has cost a life and none of you will care. I will be hitting you with every single law suit I can and I will make sure that doctor Williams never practises again and this surgery needs to be completely re-staffed, apart from the 2 nurses who genuinely tried to help up.

How do you all sleep at night? Her life is on your hands because no one understands the meaning of duty of care and urgency.

Avoid this place, avoid it completely, they won’t help, they won’t even attend an appointment. Find somewhere else.

Bloody terrible staff. They don't communicate between themselves, they don't give patients ALL the info they could be giving, they don't follow up on test results, they seem to make rules up as they see fit, so if they're having a bad day, god help you! I take morphine, I spent 6 months pre ordering this, then was told I didn't have to any more. For 3 months it came with my other meds, except for this month( November), when I've just been told I need to pre order!!! So, after 3 days of being without it, I've now to wait 72 hours for another script! Do better!

The worst gp service I have ever dealt with. They should be inspected to ensure they are looking after patient care. 3 weeks ago I was told I need a kidney scan because I am in pain, I haven't even had an appointment yet alone the scan. Disgraceful, I wish I could say something positive. I was told I need blood tests, a 30 plus minutes drive for something I have always had at a surgery. Hence, I haven't booked it because I can't get there.

Terrible! No one able to help after 10.30am unless it's an emergency. If it's a genuine emergency, isn't that what A&E is for? Called to request advice for my son at 1pm to be told nothing can be done unless I called before 10.30am or used the online service, which is also only available before 10.30am. Who can possibly pencil in an illness at a specific time of day?! Every time I phone the GP surgery it is no end of frustration and an automatic "NO" at every turn. What is the point of even answering the phone. If I could give zero stars I would.

Moved to this area in June and had to use this doctors surgery, it’s awful the app doesn’t work half the time and when you ring they tell you it’s emergency only? Isn’t a hospital for emergency? The only good thing about it is the receptionists are nice

My overall experience has been negative the last year. They have a new GP on board and she has incredibly poor interaction skills. When talking with her she completely ignores the reason your there. You leave feeling bullied and belittled with no input on the issue you went to see her for. I’m incredibly fed up to be quite honest. The admin staff are great though and are friendly, and helpful.

Absolutely shocking service. I rarely use the doctors but when I have to, it's such a difficult procedure. Just been told I have to contact them before 10.15 tomorrow morning. How do you know when you are going to become ill? If it's the afternoon you're screwed. So frustrated

I have gone past frustration then anger I'm now so depressed an desperate to find a doctor who actually cares this surgery at GCG is horrific in the years I've been registered there my family never really used them so when your diagnosed with serious conditions you expect proper medical help correct medication support someone to talk to who is medically trained an actually wants to help please DO NOT USE AMMAN TAWE SURGERY if you are diabetic or going through the menopause they will turn your world upside down then push you to despair
