Amazing venue and such a friendly owner with some brilliant staff. We held our Daughters Birthday Party in the function area and the food, service and area was all 5 star! Thank you for helping us celebrate!

Picked up our first carvery today and it was amazing. Compliments to the chef as everything was cooked to perfection. The amount of meat you get was incredible and it fell apart when you tried to cut it. I would highly recommend this place and can't wait to try it again. Xx

Delicious food and great service. We took the children and the owner came out with a box of toys which helped keep them entertained whilst we ate.Plenty of parking right outside. The takeaway Sunday lunch is also the best we've had!

We came for their Italian evening, the food was delicious, ambiance in the restaurant with the music was lovely and their terrapin is incredibly cute. Every highly recommend coming on one of their themed evenings.

Food was delicious, nice selection for vegetarians without a chickpea in sight 🙂. The young man who served us this evening was fantastic, polite, and friendly. Good choice on the menu. Nice decor and plenty of parking. Will definitely be visiting again.

7 of us came for food on Sunday. The food quality was outstanding, a very tasty dinner with plenty of choice. Service was excellent from the waitresses to the barman. No complaints from any of our party. Will definitely be returning. Thank you.

Three of us family members all enjoyed our meal here about 2 wks ago on a Saturday and will definitely be returning. I had cockles and laverbread in a creamy sauce and so did my mum my husband had garlic bread then for main i had lasagne chips and salad my mum and husband had ham, egg and chips they both said the ham was so lean and delicious and lovely home cooked chips. My lasagne was lovely too. For dessert I had chocolate fudge cake and was allowed ice cream and pour on cream in a jug .....what restaurant normally allows you to have both 💕, mum had a waffle with ice cream and strawberry sauce which she really enjoyed. As much as the food was fab the staff were even better. They were so lovely and friendly they couldn't do enough for us, even the chef brought us out a slice of ham to try before ordering it 🤗🥰. The girl that was the children's entertainer was super lovely 🤩 and what a fab singing voice she had. See you soon Tafarn Y Deri and staffxxx

Had the pleasure of staying at the Tafarn Y Deri while in the area on business for 2 days. Despite the restaurant not being open on a Monday and arriving super late on the night the kitchen was opened for me and my colleague, and we received the best possible welcome.
The food on both days was fabulous, well cooked, fresh and tasty. The rooms are spacious and immaculately clean and offers the perfect base for the surrounding area.
The Tafarn is highly recommended both for food and accommodation. You won't get a warmer welcome anywhere. Truly fabulous!

We had a lovely welcome, the food was tasty and very well presented, the room really cosy and the staff Paige and Ffion exceptional, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely return

I came for Sunday lunch on the weekend and it was by far the best I’ve had! The gravy was delicious, and the beef was so well cooked, it just fell apart! The meal sizes were perfect. The staff were very attentive and helpful, I would highly recommend!

Absolutely loved our weekend stay. Best of welcome. The room was immaculately clean, with fresh clean towels and bedding, with the extra touch of tea and coffee facilities. The food was delicious. In my sons words, Gordan Ramsey would be proud. The manager Shelley is also lovely, down to earth and hard working to ensure we had a great time. I know you will make a success of the place and wish them all the best for the future.

Updated to 5***** from original 3 *** after 2 return visits; one for the new menu and one for the new carvery. Both fantastic experiences. Had the curry y deri and creamy pepper chicken. Both would order again. Carvery Sunday lunch today. Lovely thick slices of meat ( pork, beef or turkey ). Lots of vegetables and roasties to choose from. Food tasty, staff wonderful. Very happy to recommend.

Booked for Saturday 12.30pm for a family birthday lunch. Aware that there was a limited menu as the menu is being updated but no steaks, one portion of lamb chops, no lasagne and no cod. Was offered a cajan salmon portion or plain salmon but this was only other fish option. This left around 6 to 7 main options, including the specials board.
Starters were enjoyed - creamy mushrooms and chicken goujons.
Mains of lamb chops, hunters chicken, chicken burger and creamy pepper chicken ( special board and really nice,) were enjoyed. Ham egg and chips mediocre, just like packet supermarket ham.
The plain salmon was like yesterday's reheated leftovers! Bone dry and rock hard on one half. Could have used it to hammer a nail in.
Both waitresses informed re salmon when they asked if everything was OK and they said they would let the chef know. Nothing taken off the bill for the inedible meal.
It was very cold in the restaurant. Luckily there was a portable heater by us that we turned on enabling the 2 pensioners to at least take off their coats to eat. Wear your thermals!
The radiator was covered in what looked like coffee or coke stains. There were breadcrumbs on the floor under our table - the restaurant opened at 12 and we were there at 12.15pm
The service from the 2 waitresses was lovely. We won't be planning a revisit anytime soon. Maybe 3 stars is being generous but 4 out of 6 did enjoy the food, just not the cold, poor level of hygiene and the inedible salmon!
Update. Have spoken to owner who has kindly agreed to a refund for the salmon dish. Feedback from owner was fair and appreciated.
Have visited twice again since and 5 ***** each time

Another lovely evening spent at Tavern y Deri,food is sooo good,tried the carvery last time which was delicious, this time we had garlic mushrooms to start,real mushrooms not tinned,also tried the creamy pepper chicken,couldnt fault it,i must add,the staff are first class,and so friendly,will definitely be back again.thank you for a really enjoyable evening.

Took 6 of our residents from Care home here for lunch . 10 out of 10 for the welcome, food , staff, decor, and reasonably priced meals as everything has risen in cost we try to find good value and cost when taking them out for lunch. We will be making regular visits to Tafarn Y Deri

Well what can I say.we rang up for a table for my sons 13th birthday.even though it was a last minute booking on a Friday eve nothing was to much trouble. The food was absolutely stunning and the service was impeccable. Our waitress ffion was fantastic

I had the manhattan chicken from the specials board and it was so delicious and succulent. Enjoyed every mouthful of my food, as did the rest of the party. Lush guys thank you

This was my second visit since the new owners Kath & Rich took over. The food was excellent & served with a smile. All food is freshly cooked to order. Very welcoming staff who can't do enough for you! Looking forward to my next visit already!
