I needed a new set of cello strings i had an idea what I wanted but no knowledge of the types of strings and results each type of string would deliver I eventually chose Jargar Superior and so far I am very happy with them. I will definitely use this team again. I recommend them

A really lovely family run business. From the very first phonecall, I was met with kindness and knowledge. I am a beginner and had absolutely no idea about what to look for when buying a Cello. All options were presented to me for my budget and I was given little tips and advice to help me on my journey. You could tell they were very busy, yet still took the time to explain what was needed. I will certainly be back. I also thought I'd treat myself to one of the Cello stands, they are made in Britain using very good quality oak and look fabulous. I am very excited to develop myself in the new year. Thank you for being so lovely and keep up the very good work .

I bought a double bass from Bass Bags in April (I am terrible at leaving reviews) and had a really really great experience. David was so chatty and friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. He made the whole process really easy and was happy to answer all of my daft questions. I was delivered two basses to my house that I was able to try for over a week, which was way better than just trying them out in a shop, and then they came and picked up the one I didn't want. Throughout that week I received any support I needed and they were on hand to help out over the phone. I couldn't recommend them more highly. Will definitely be coming back for any future double bass needs!

Excellent customer service. I ordered a double bass string winder on line, but when it came it didn't fit my tuning peg keys. I rang up, was asked to send a photo, and they put another one in the post, straight away, at no extra cost, and this one works fine. Bass Bags has my wholehearted endorsement...

Went for strings for a violin, as a novice got some great advice which was much appreciated and will definitely be listened to.

Bass Bags was the only shop who had the Kaplan solo D ext (F#) available (I did not check all, but I think of whole Europe and far beyond).
Not the cheapest offer (but cheap and not available is not an option). So I think it is worthwhile. Service and delivery were as expected.

David really helped out when I was looking to purchase some new double bass strings. He was very generous with his time and we discussed various options and what would be most suitable for my playing style. Double bass strings are so expensive it is a major investment with every set, so it is important to feel like you are doing the right thing.

Anyways, his advice and input were helpful and I after playing the new strings for almoist a week, I am really impressed with the Eva Pirazzi Mediums. I just wish I lived a bit closer to the shop so I could visit. Cheers

I bought the red Clarinet Bag and I really love it!
It's compact, sturdy and the design makes it so easy to unpack and pack my clarinet, as the clarinet is stored in just two pieces, which saves time, especially at a gig. I called the shop before I purchased the bag, with a few questions and found the customer service excellent. The guy at the shop was really helpful and knowledgeable. I bought a compact clarinet case. It's excellent - fits A or Bb instrument, very small to carry (not much bigger than a flute case) but with good protection and enough room for essentials, and seems very well made. Navigating the website was easy and free delivery went smoothly and on time.

Called a lot of places in London, but settled on Bass Bags in Derby! Pandemic meant we couldn't visit, but service via phone and email was brilliant, with great advice for a first string instrument. What stood out was aftersales. We had a problem with the case, but this was quickly discussed, options provided and a final happy resolution. No hesitation recommending Bass Bags. Bass bags were very helpful with hiring a cello for my wife. Compared with the previous hire of a Stentor 1 Student Cello, this is far superior in terms of tone, and feel (accruing to my wife-and my ears during her practices!). They are very helpful and offer great value. No hesitation using them again.
