A wonderful site to stay on, well maintained and tidy, lots of wildlife which is lovely to see and hear, it is great that areas have been left for the birds and animals, great views of the surrounding area. Easy to navigate around the site, On walking around the site they have a lovely play area for the children and there is also a dog agility area. The laundry room is a great asset and good price £3 for a wash and £1 for 30mins tumble dryer.

Our first visit to Skiddaw view. Absolutely stunning scenery and so peaceful.
Site is very clean and cared for.
My only other comment is. The lodge that we are staying in (apple tree lodge) needs a bit of TLC looking a bit tired!!😔
New table and chairs would be nice. As these are a bit old!!. No gate on decking so had to use one of the outdoor sofas to block it off. Dog friendly places should have gates. Could be a bit cleaner as I felt I had to wipe down with antibacterial wipes and clean the toilet!! This is not the sites fault. Cleaners should clean properly. Hope it gets checked when we leave before next people come in. Pull bottom fridge tray out. This would not stop me returning.
Otherwise I hope to enjoy my break. X

Best ever holiday home park. Been here 15 years already, on our second static. New lake view development on site. Grab your slice of heaven before it's too late! Well maintained, dog friendly, children friendly, with our own alpaca to pet.

We had a lovely stay here recently. We stayed in Holly Lodge for four nights and it was very comfortable, peaceful and in a good location for our walks. The private outdoor seating section was also nice.

Check in and out process was easy with no issues, friendly people in the shop.

We would definitely return.

Superb location. Luxury decorated and fitted put Lodge. Very spacious and ample room for 4. Appletree Lodge was the one we stayed in. Highly recommended. The bottle of bubbly to greet us was that extra nice touch!!

We have stayed at this site at least twice a year for the past ten years. It is so quiet, clean and beautiful. We have stayed previously in Firs and Briar Bank. As Briar Bank is no longer available we stayed at Apple Tree lodge in August and thoroughly enjoyed it. The views are better than from Briar Bank. The lodge itself is so comfortable with everything you need. The only issue is the decking. It was so dirty and covered in cobwebs that my husband cleaned it himself. The outside furniture badly needs changing as the table set is shabby and the wicker furniture is uncomfortable due to having no cushions on it. Having said that we have booked to go back next year and can't wait.

Brilliant location. Great for seeing millions of stars weather permitting of course. Quiet. Stayed here twice. Once in caravan and now in a lodge. Feels like home from home. Great views and the owners are lovely. Highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to come to the lake district.

Just got back from a family holiday on Skiddaw View. Possibly the best and most certainly the cleanest accommodation we have stayed in. 1 family in Apple Tree Lodge and the other in a Platinum caravan. Both fantastic. Skiddaw is a very quiet site and is kept in immaculate condition all around. Its a credit to the staff the way it is maintained. Its about 10 minutes drive to Cockermouth and 15 minutes to Keswick. I can recommend this site if your looking for a quiet chilled out break. One thing you must do when you go to Skiddaw View is to go and see Fidel the Alpaca. What a character he is.

Beautiful place with lovely views. Quiet and much less touristic then south of lake district. Super helpful, warm and welcoming staff. We stayed in delux caravan. High standard of cleaness, really well equpiment kitchen and pleasent decoration throughout. Even the ice cubes had been ready in the freezer! Would definitely come back.

Stayed in a lodge and it was delightful! Fantastic views and great accommodation. A short drive from Keswick and Cockermouth, ideally situated for a week of lake district adventures.
Staff were friendly and helpful, a well stocked shop on site.

We have just returned from the most relaxing holiday we have had in a long time and cannot speak highly enough about Skiddaw View Holiday Park. The caravan was amazing - spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need including full size oven and fridge freezer! There was also many extras that we didn't expect i.e. tea towels, cleaning materials, toilet rolls, oven gloves - little things that make a lot of difference. The bedding was lovely and was made up on the beds for our arrival and the shower was better than ours at home! The grounds are also spotless and with the most spectacular views and we couldn't get enough of the resident alpaca who we went to visit daily! This park is quite remote and I feel you would definitely need transport but that added to the attraction for us. Last, but not least, I would like to praise the owners/staff who were always very friendly towards us and asked several times if everything was to our satisfaction. We certainly hope to be able to return to this little gem again!

Very lucky to have a Caravan here, fabulous place and brilliant park owners. Slightly withdrawn from the hustle and bustle of Central Lake District. This is what we perceive the Lakes to be, tranquil and relaxing.
