Looking at some of the poor reviews on here, they seem to be directed against the installer used rather than the product itself, which is absolutely superb. We used our local window and cladding supplier/fitter, Tradefit4u for a complete build of a sun room using the Guardian warm roof. Because of its thermal properties we were able to remove the door between house and extension and obtain building regs approval. Tradefit4u made a cracking job of the whole build and the prefabricated warm roof with Velux window went on a treat, constructed so quickly, highly recommended!

What can we say, so so happy with this roof. We live in Havant Hampshire and our team were absolutely fantastic from quote to instillation to finish.

Jon and his team were amazing, the attention to detail was perfect from day 1.All workman arrived on time, were really nice and friendly and so clean tidying up each day. Final day Jon was here to help finish and make sure we were happy.

Have recommended to friends of which 2 have contacted Jon. Thank you would give 10 stars if they were available.

No problem with the roof but the so called approved installer was and is rubbish. Job has been ongoing since November 2023 and still waiting for lead flashing to be fitted and plasterwork repaired. The installer seems to have no expertise in the finishing of the job and the so called mediation team at Gaurdian only keep saying we do understand but don't offer any assistance. Very bad choice of roof and installer. Be very careful

This company is without doubt the worst I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Having been left in the lurch by a builder with an unfinished roof they were about as unhelpful as is humanly possible in terms of giving information about how I could obtain just half a dozen tiles and hips to finish off the job. A local roofer had a similar experience but finally we had to unnecessarily buy a full pack. The product looks quite good but I sincerely hope I never have the misfortune of having to deal with Guardian again.

My husband contacted Guardian Roof to enquire re this kind of roof on a conservatory (as having a conservatory at our old property we knew standard conservatories are not livable) guardian reassured us that it creates a space which is livable all year round and gave us a list of installers. We contacted Amazon Windows and Conservatories ie Amex Holdings Ltd as per the list and spoke to Aiden Brophy, a authorised agent of the company. We told Aiden what we wanted, guardian roof, 3.5x5meter conservatory, we also stated we wanted the existing external door and window removed aswell as brickwork to make an arch to create a open plan living space between the kitchen and conservatory-soon to be living room. Aiden stated this would not be a problem, 'when you come to sell just put the doors back on at the new owners request'. He told me and my husband that as it's a conservatory building regulations isn't required. He then confirmed all of this in writing. My husband told Aiden of our situation, that I have blood cancer and am currently undergoing treatment at the Marsden, that we wanted a new space to spend Christmas together as last year I was hospitalised. We proceeded with the build August 1st 2022, 3 weeks into the build on the day of the roof being installed we were not happy with the marks left on the windows and doors by the installers, all protective film had been removed from the upvc without the windows being put in and all frames had black scuff marks on them. Xtratherm (roof insulation) was delivered that day and placed in the garden by the roof installers, when I went outside I found the xtratherm placed ontop of my lavender plant crushing it (we have a large wrap around garden, 3 weeks in no other builders or workman on site had done this so I was rightfully annoyed that they had damaged my plant). Spoke to Andy Shoulder, the owner he could care less! After that conversation my husband contacted FENSA re window warranties and they said they could only help if building control are on site. So contacted building control, who tell us the conservatory is a extension and we have been ill advised. I sent ALL my correspondence between myself and Amazon to the head of building control, he said he was shocked and to seek legal advise1) it states on the contract, hand written 'remove external door/window and brickwork, make good 1m2'. In doing so and agreeing Amazon completely contradict themselves regarding building regs because UNLESS the external door remains in place then any and ALL conservatories require building regulations 2) Andy Shoulder admits it isn't to building regulations standard and doesn't care, he states to me in a email if i wanted the soakaway done correctly and moved 5 metres from the property instead of it's current position of only 1.8 metres! (Flooding risk!) Then it would have been an extra £1600. 3) it is an extension so a client cannot say yes or no to building regulations, YOU should have advised us that YES it requires building regulations. They have stated to my husband in black and white that they do not comply with building regulations. 4) they keep lying and stating me and my husband refused building regs due to cost , we were never even given a quote! It was mentioned in passing by Aiden Brophy, it's a conservatory so doesn't need building regulations. Aiden put it in writing that he AGREED building regs wasn't needed yet tells me the roof comes with building reg certification anyway. When you visit Guardian website it states building control should be on site during installation to get building regs certification. I am taking legal action against Amazon Windows. When i sent ALL evidence to Guardian Warm Roof they are still very happy to have Amazon Windows as installers even though THEY recommended them to us, and now i am out of pocket of thousands of pounds and may need the foundations underpinned all whilst having cancer how lovely. Money talks as always, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY WHO ASSOCIATE WITH COWBOY BUILDERS

Awful company to deal with. Any problems, they deny all knowledge and responsibility and eventually cut you off. 10 year warranty and money back guarantees are worthless. Avoid, avoid, avoid!
