Amid Palace

Despite what some of the other reviews may say, I highly recommend Amid Palace for a great meal and night out. This was our first time visiting and we enjoyed an evening family meal and could not be more satisfied with the establishment itself, the friendly staff, general service and the quality of the food. To start we had a selection of dips with some popadoms followed by our chosen starters from the menu. We then had our main courses and were too full to consider ordering from the dessert menu. So if you are someone who has to have a dessert, don't order too much as the portions are very generous and you may find yourself unable to finish everything. I cannot say what this establishment is like on a weekend as we went on a weekday therefore it was a lot calmer with fewer people at other tables. However, with how spacious the restaurant is, I can imagine it to be a very pleasant experience with the additional atmosphere of other customers present. Thank you to Sophie for making us feel welcomed, being friendly and professional while also taking the time to talk to us after our meal. We will without a doubt be returning sometime soon to enjoy another meal. Five stars all round, no complaints at all.

Myself my partner and her son went their for my partners birthday meal.it was perfect from the moment we walked in.it had a friendly warm feeling to the place.the food was amazing and plenty of it we were all very full.all food was very reasonably priced.we had a few lovely conversations with the owner a lovely friendly lady.all in all it was a lovely relaxing evening thank you so much.

If you're looking for authentic Indian cuisine, this restaurant is a must-visit. The Rogan Josh was amazing and the Nan was delicious. The restaurant's interior is amazing and creates a great atmosphere for dining. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a fantastic Indian dining experience."

Great value, high quality food. Contemporary present

A hidden gem. Food is out of this world. Sadly the restaurant is very under used as only one other table was in use at 6:30pm on a weekday. As for the food, I cannot praise the Spinach Dumplings enough, they were fantastic, as was the main course and the side dishes. Have to remember this place next time I'm up here.

Food is best in area with out question. Staff are friendly professional and keen to serve. Portions are just right

Honestly when I saw it from the outside it looks very boring and bland, it's in a closed place, but when we went in it was so much bigger than I thought! It was the best Indian restaurant I have been to!! The waiters were amazing so polite the best service I've had, the food was so nice! I honestly strongly recommend, very spacious, clean and table set up beautifully 😊😊😊😊

The best Indian food I have ever tasted 2019

Update to 2022 and the food is still out of this world. The menu has changed slightly to offer some new dishes, but the old favourites are still there. Looks like the chef is trying out some of his creations and I think this is wonderful. Don't just stick to what you know. You will be pleasantly surprised if you try one of the specials.

Had a lovely evening and great meal here on a Saturday night, hadn't made a booking, yet turned up early enough to nab a table.
Good service with superbly tasting food, freshly cooked and although a bit slow in the food arriving, it didn't feel like it.....well worth the wait anyhow as it was different and delicious.
Great Mango Lassi, nice entree of haloumi and paneer with date and ginger chutney....
The spinach dumplings were a nice texture and flavour...
Mains of the lamb meatballs, Naga chicken, Keema rice and aubergine crush were so good, the pashwari naan was the freshest tasting we'd had in ages...
Well worth a visit.....Enjoy

Dined here this week for the first time in quite a while. Not sure if there's been a change of management/chef but the food was top class. Used to be a decent enough restaurant but definitely moved up a few notches in my opinion. Keep it up.

Amazing! The food is so delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were lovely and it was two for one on main courses (Tuesday and Wednesday) which was a bonus. Would definitely recommend!

Went for a family meal at Amid Palace , as soon as we entered, the staff were so friendly and attentive. We had the special deal& everything was perfect. Also, the cocktails we had ordered looked amazing and tasted better. The presentation of the food, words can't articulate. Tremendous place to dine at, very affordable and worth the money. Read a couple of bad reviews and also a lot of good ones so decided to try it. Glad we did food was amazing service was attentive the place does look a little tired but will definitely be going again. We had two King prawn starters two chicken and king prawn baltis plus nans and mushroom rice with a bottle of wine bill came to £57 worth every penny looking forward to the next visit

After having driven past this place thousands of times but never visited, we decided to give it a try for my sons birthday meal out and I'm so glad we did !! The food is absolutely fantastic, beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. One of the best Indian restaurant meals I've ever had !!!
The service was extremely good too and the free dessert for my sons birthday really made his evening !! Totally recommend giving it a visit, we will again for sure !!

Really impressed with the quality of food, presentation and friendly staff. Thursday evening so £9.95 for 3 courses - good menu choice and excellent value - highly recommended. A hidden gem.
