A lovely pub with good service. Years ago we stayed there for one night. The accommodation is lovely and the breakfast was very good. With a varied selection of either continental or a full English breakfast .
This time myself and my wife went there for a weekday lunch it absolutely lovely. The bar lady who may have been the owner was great and cheerful. Definitely worth a visit hence five stars.

6 of us ate here Sunday 11/2/24 after a local walk along the Cotswold Way. Great range of drinks at the bar & foods on the menu with very decent size helpings. Including drinks, the bill came to £30 a head for starter & main course each - very happy. Service was good with very friendly staff. Dogs were allowed in which is a bonus and seems to be a regular thing with many other customers in there.

Didn't know what to expect as I'd seen mixed reviews, but stopped off here for lunch on a walk and it was excellent! Great service, food, and value for money- what more do you need! Also kid and dog friendly.

Decided to come off the M4 motorway on a long journey from Hampshire to west Wales to have some, hopefully, real and good food rather than service fast food and was so glad of the decision when I had a lovely plate of lamb shank with veg at a great price. Definitely a recommendation should you find yourself in the vicinity 😊👍

A lovely pub, it has rooms but I didn't stay. A very friendly pub with great staff, I had food which was very nice and was so much I couldn't eat it all, we were a group of 10 and they managed us all very well.

Stopped by this dog friendly pub for dinner due to the reviews on our way to London on a Sunday evening of the bank holiday weekend. The kitchen was open quite later then other food joints in the area. We arrived at around 20:30 and there was plenty of parking available on site. Staff are very kind, funny and made our experience more enjoyable.

Be sure to book a day in advance if you fancy having a lamb joint as they only have limited stock per day and they finish quite quickly but try your luck anyway. We opted for a variety of dishes anyway but our favourite was the homemade beef lasagna and steak.

Our favourite drink of choice was definitely the "cheeky pig", it looked like the strongest cider on draft (7.5%), it was quite sweet and refreshing to the taste.

I would 100% back here again if we are in the area.

We called in for a pint and a bite to eat after a country walk.
A nice atmosphere and really friendly staff. All the food and drink is reasonably priced and the pub has a large garden and outdoor seating. This was our second visit and we'd happily recommend The Dog Inn.

This is a nice pub and the food looks really nice, although we didn't try any when we visited but we'll definitely return to try it on another occasion.
The beer and cider are both well kept and reasonably priced.

Just had dinner here on a Thursday evening. Whitebait starter was piping hot and a generous portion. Ribeye steak was cooked perfectly. All four of us were totally stuffed and happy. Beer was great, honest food and honest prices.

Found this cozy inn by chance. Room for 2 People.
The inn is run by Richard and his daughter Ginger 😉
Had a delicious meal in a Turkish restaurant on Richard's recommendation.
When we came back from there, we thought the pub would be closed, but no, it was still great to drink with the locals. In the morning i ate my first English breakfast, it was delicious!!
Nowhere else eaten such a delicious English breakfast.
The English are hospitable and friendly people.
Hopefully i will return to England and the Dog inn soon.

Best wishes from Jolanda from Hoek van Holland
The Netherlands.

A lovely setting.
Wonderful service from staff.
A good selection of beer.
It is clear the pub is much loved by the local community, which is such a wonderful thing to see.
I would highly recommend going when they are offering a BBQ and the ‘Bald Eagle’ is cooking!
Thank you for a lovely time The Dog Inn!

Good place to visit after a tromp around Old Sodbury. Lovely cosy decor and inviting atmosphere, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. There is a lovely little garden area to sit and have a drink and for kids to play. Great traditional pub food, I especially enjoyed the gammon, egg and chips.

We booked a table of 14 for our works Christmas party. Such a wonderful service from start to finish, taking good care of our gluten free member of staff. There was no rush and food was excellent. Highly recommend 😊

We didn't stay at The Dog, but had dinner with family and our 2 dogs last Saturday evening. Great selection of food and both food and service were really good too. Recommend a visit. You won't be disappointed 😍👍 x
