The Pilot, Greenwich

Well - what can I say? This place is the very place hidden gem or jam that local guys or youngsters could enjoy for a day night.

We have used this place as an unofficial ‘leaving drink’ one so I definitely have been here numerous times but never that much disappointed at all.

It was always crowded but there are many places you can enjoy inside/and outside.

The pilot is perfect for a pre gig drink if you are going to the o2. It’s close enough to walk to the o2. But far enough away that most people won’t go there. It’s a lovely pub with a great atmosphere. On my visit, the staff were fantastic. They kept track on who was waiting next at the bar. The food we had, was really nice. I had the burger and chips. Overall, it was a nice place to enjoy a couple beers before heading to the gig at the o2.

The place is nice and spacious. I was able to stay there for 3h with my 1yo walking everywhere and the staff was so nice and patience. Food is delicious. Parking is very convenient and for free right next to the entrance.
My friends were going to an evening concert at the 02 Arena and this pub was so much a better option than the indoor bars at the arena.

Second time we have stayed here when visiting the o2. It’s such a lovely pub the food is fantastic and reasonably priced. Staff are polite and great customer service. The atmosphere is really lovely, Rooms are clean and funky decor and to top it off walking distance to the o2. You really can’t go wrong.

Needed a good 'hearty' meal after picking up my partner from Stansted airport... (she lives in Greenwich) and this was our destination... not disappointed! Bar staff were excellent and food was great... Good lager and beer as well as fantastic food was what were just what we needed !!!

Lovely quient pub with reasonable prices. The food looked and smelt delicious.
Staff were very helpful and friendly letting you try before you buy. No requests were too big and were always happy to help. It's a place I'd certainly visit again.

My niece stayed here. I was dropping her off for a concert with friends at the nearby O2.

It was the perfect location. Plenty of parking and the O2 a short walk away.

Her room was small but very comfortable; the bed took up most of the space so it was worth it.

Shower room was large enough, everything worked well including the espresso machine with lots of coffee choices and a kettle for tea. ...I helped myself whilst she was getting ready 😀

I went to join her for breakfast and take her home the next morning. Said hello to the friendly cat whilst I waited for her to join me.

Breakfast was perfect, lots of choices of cereal, fruit and pastries as well as a cooked breakfast- I had the vegetarian option, very tasty!

A remnant! An old part of Greenwich history in new Greenwich. It's so out of place it's a sight to behold. The last vestages of a time past, hanging on in the new futuristic Greenwich. The pub itself is split on three levels, and is nicely sized. Staff are friendly and welcoming, there are lots of ship ornaments, and seeing as though London city Airport is only across the Thames I thought there may have been some aeroplane artifacts placed around its surroundings. Testamount to its age, long before the airport was even dreamnt of! The decor is oldie style, warm and cozy, great for families I'd say. Eating is downstairs, socialising and drinking main floor, mezzanine, and beer garden, tented. A wonderful old Greenwich experience in the new modern futuristic Greenwich peninsular. Loved it!

We found everything was amazing i stayed here on the 29th of november 2023 to go to the O2 arena we was in room one and had no problems at all staff was amazing and facilitys was also great. Breakfast was amazing and room clean and tidy, 1000% loved our stay and when i return to the O2 i will defo be staying again no questions about that room was £269 for the night for couple but for being 10mins from the O2 defo waa worth every penny, can not fault the stay in anyway thank you so much jack and amy.

Good food, nice premises, lovely staff, decent prices (for London). Handy for the O2. We visited twice.

This is a great pub which is handily out of the way of busy crowds nearer the 02. It's got a nice section out front as well as cosy backyard

stayed here with my boyfriend for after a concert at the o2, service and food is amazing as well as just eat being available with McDonalds really late at night. comfy unique rooms with air conditioning and overall just one of the best hotels I’ve been to

Great Pub, good selection of beers and awesome food

Great location in regards to getting to the O2.
Food was amazing- the fish and chips was top notch whilst the breakfast was also really good!
We stayed there for the one night and the room was cozy, quirky and clean. Really appreciated that there was a wide range of hot drinks including decaf coffee as not many places offer that when you stay.
Also had a decent nights sleep as it was quiet. It felt homely.

Bonus for me was the cat that likes to sleep in certain chairs around the place. It adds the Pilot’s character and if I was a local I would be in there all the time. Staff were really nice to chat too and told us more about their furry colleague. If places are becoming dog friendly, then I don’t have see any problems having a cat around that is likely to sleep for most of the day!

Would definitely stay here again if I am ever in that area.

Second time to eat at this lovely pub 15th May. Sorry about the late review. Had the lovely chicken club sandwich with triple cooked chips, absolutely gorgeous & reasonably priced, washed down with a lovely pint of cider 😋. Staff friendly & efficient.
Will definitely visit again 🙂

Amazing place and just a stone throw from the o2 arena. And there is parking. Only issue for me is the room lighting.

Visited the pub on a lovely, warm, sunny Saturday. Popular place lots of room inside & outside, even if these areas are a little crowded ask the bar staff for a take away cup & go sit on the grass outside. A very nice relaxing drink with a walk alongside the River Thames

Can't speak about the rooms, but the food and pub atmosphere is gorgeous.

Very good stay lovely location and easy access to the 02 just a 10min walk down the road cant go wrong. Perfect!
