I have been to White Pepper several times and wanted to leave a review about their food and service this time. For Malayalis missing their traditional food in the UK, White Pepper is a great option. The food is delicious, especially the date pickle and salad they serve as starters. My favorite dish is the porotta and beef masala, but I also thoroughly enjoyed their fish fry during my last visit. If you are in Weymouth, I encourage you to try White Pepper for a taste of Kerala cuisine.

As one customer previously wrote ‘ do not judge a book by its cover !’ We had been recommended The White Pepper by a local who told us to ignore the decor & concentrate on the knowledge & passion of the owners & staff to enjoy the food , which was in his opinion very good .
Please remember this is not a curry house ! This is Keralan ! The people from the south delicately balance their ingredients , their unique use of spices are gently layered throughout the dishes & their sauces on this particular evening were like velvet . Enough ….. the staff here are lovely & even somewhat shy but engage them in conversation & you will notice how keen they are to please . My taste buds were extremely satisfied that evening & if I’m ever down in Weymouth again this is the place I’m heading to .
Best wishes to you all & I hope you go from strength to strength

Visited them in their new premises.
Menu has expanded. Still the same exquisite flavours. Word of mouth reviews led us to The White Pepper. It didn't disappoint. It does not have the overlong menu of traditional curry houses but what they do is specialise. And every meal is exquisite. You will not be disappointed.
Whoever is the chef is at the very top of their profession at the moment. We had the fried prawn starter, beef biryani and sea bass. All cooked to perfection.

The food was outstanding and the service to match. My wife and I are from an area full of Indian culture and we have had our fair share of Indian food, but this was fantastic and some of the best we have had. It’s authentic and not cooked just to please the English, which is always a positive and you get to really experience the taste of Kerala. The staff are really lovely and it’s clear they have a passion for what they do.
Would love to go back should we find ourselves in Weymouth again.

The food is exceptional, it’s so delicious and fantastic Indian cuisine!! I totally recommend this restaurant for food.
It’s a bit expensive compared to others in Weymouth, but in mine and my wife’s view, nothing comes close to the food of the White Pepper! We moved down from London a few years back and we were becoming disheartened by the diversity of food here. But now we have found this place we are delighted!!
The only down side is the atmosphere of the hotel which needs an update. So we take away.

We went to The White Pepper last night for a birthday meal, and it's safe to say we will definitely be going back!
Whilst this isn't a traditional curry house and the decor is somewhat dated, the food was fantastic and the service genuinely friendly.
The menu is based on the food of the region the owners originate from, so don't expect your traditional offerings. But go with an open mind and you will leave pleased with your dining choice for the evening.

Do not judge a book by its cover!!! Although the decor is very dull and could do with some personality, the food was outstanding! The flavours and textures gave you nothing but a real taste of authentic Indian cuisine. The staff were friendly and attentive and the restaurant soon got busy. If you like Indian food, don’t miss out on this place.

Excellent food. Perfectly cooked quality dishes, really tasty. Unpretentious venue, a small menu executed properly. We had the white pepper roasted chicken masala, the beef masala and both were lovely but the starters from the specials board, the chicken fry and prawn fry were sublime. We had to wait half an hour for a table as we didn't book so I suggest booking to avoid disappointment although the staff were all very pleasant and accommodating.

Fantastic Keralan dishes and the best Masala Dosa north of Bangalore. Didn’t expect this at all in Weymouth and it made my day. The whole family enjoyed the food. Very friendly staff who are happy to recommend dishes according to your taste. Wine and beer selection is good. ‘The best Indian restaurant we have ever been to’, according to the kids. Amazing food 🍱 Lovely staff. Highly recommend it!

Do not be put off by the surroundings!!
Let the food do the talking.
I won't dwell on the place or decor as it was explained that it's what they inherited and plans are in motion to revamp and put their own stamp on the place. The surrounding were soon forgotten as the freindly attentive staff soon added the warmth needed.
Then came the star of the show. The food was beautiful, no frills just quality authentic Indian food. If you you want a unaturaly red tandoori or a sweaty naan this is probably not for you. Probably the best food I have had outside of Asia.

Being Indian, I hate going to Indian restaurants producing anglicised "authentic" Indian food. Luckily, White Pepper isn't one of them. It's just epic! Ordered from there last time and finally managed to get a table last night. Well worth the wait, with great portion sizes and very reasonably priced too. Great presentation, yet simple. If you order the Masala Dosa as a main meal (it's on as a special, and if you've never tried I'd highly recommend you do!), you get two! One of the best Indian restaurants I've been to anywhere in the UK, run by a family! Would happy recommend.

6pm Saturday 25th June 2022 attended The White Pepper with my partner, whilst holidaying in Dorset. We brought our own wine and honestly say it was the best Indian meals we have ever tasted. (White Pepper Chicken and Beef Masala)
The portions were very generous and what we left went a local cause. This place is a gem ! 💎

Delicious dosa, biryani and the best paratha I've ever tasted. All with home made chutneys and relishes. You may have to wait a little as it's cooked to order but it's really worth is.

This is a little gem of a place. Fantastic food, friendly and good service. And very reasonably priced. Apart from my Mum's, this was one of the nicest curries I have had.

I've been meaning to try this place for a while now, and after trying them for the first time tonight, I really wish I'd tried them sooner. I ordered the Kerala Beef Masala; succulent, tender pieces of beef infused with aromatic spices. You get a comforting coconut and garam masala infused flavour that keeps delivering with every mouthful. Hoping for a bigger menu, as seven dishes seems a bit limited considering how good my dish was, but maybe I'm being greedy here, less is more possibly.
Overall, it was incredible.

I recently dined at the Indian restaurant (Kerala cuisine) in Weymouth, Dorchester, and it was truly a remarkable experience. The food was not only delicious but also exceeded my expectations in several ways.

First and foremost, the taste of the dishes was exceptional. Each bite was a burst of authentic Indian flavors that left my taste buds dancing with delight. It's evident that the chef, Louis, has a deep understanding of Kerala cuisine and a true passion for his craft.

What impressed me even more was the generous portion sizes. The servings were substantial, ensuring that no one at the table left hungry. It's rare to find such generous portions at a restaurant, and it made the dining experience even more enjoyable and appreciable.

Now, let's talk about value for money. Dining at this restaurant is an excellent value. Considering the quality of the food and the portion sizes, the prices are incredibly reasonable. You get not only a memorable culinary experience but also great value for your hard-earned money. I would say the price is 25% to 30% cheaper with extraordinary quality compared to even hyped Indian restaurants in London and suburbs.

Lastly, I want to commend Chef Louis for his ethical cooking practices. It's refreshing to know that the restaurant prioritizes ethical sourcing fresh and sustainable cooking methods. This commitment to ethics and freshness adds an extra layer of satisfaction to the dining experience.

This Indian restaurant in Weymouth, is a hidden gem that deserves high praise. The excellent taste, generous portions, value for money, and Chef Louis's dedication to ethical cooking make it a must-visit for anyone looking to savor authentic Indian cuisine. I can't wait to return for another delightful feast. Thanking myself for not trying fish and chips from a beach town.

Well done The White Pepper and Chef Louis. You deserve a 3xMichelin Star!!!

OMG what incredible authentic food. Well done to the kitchen team for delivering such exceptional flavours. And by the way, don’t complain about any wait because it is definitely worth it and great food cooked from scratch takes time
