We only ate here as we live nearby so cannot comment on the accommodation. Upon approach it’s a lovely, quiet location. The staff were extremely warm and welcoming and the place had a family feel to it. The decor is a bit dated, old school if you like, but I liked it. The food was so good! Generous portions at reasonable prices. I had the Lamb & Mint Pie which was homemade and very tasty. The biggest compliment I can give the food was it was like going home and having your dinner cooked by your parents. Homely, filling and made with love and care. I’d say this place is a bit of a hidden gem. Well worth a visit! Wish I’d taken some photos but was too busy enjoying the moment.

We went for lunch with family, fantastic staff amazing fresh homemade cooking. Steak, pies, roast dinners and very large puddings everything is fresh and served hot. We will definitely be returning

Great one night stay.
Such a friendly welcome here and the staff were all really helpful. The room was a good size and the bed really comfortable.
Importantly everything in the rooms was spotless.
I had dinner and the homemade steak pie and chips was yummy.
Just a shame I had to leave before breakfast.
I’ll definitely stay again when I’m in the area. Highly recommended.

Just had a brilliant Carvery with my in-laws for Father's day. Very tasty and great value.
The carvery was excellent, though the veggie option for my wife wasn't great.

This is the perfect place for a quick stopover.
We arrived after the usual check in time but we were given clear instructions on how to access our room.
The room was perfectly clean and warm. There was plenty of tea, coffee and milk available.
The bathroom was spotless too.
Not the biggest of rooms, but ample for a short stay.
Breakfast was freshly cooked and great service was provided by friendly staff.
Would recommend and will stay again when in the area.

Loved it!
The grounds were lovely and peaceful, and very close to where my daughter lives, so ideal.
When we entered the reception we were greeted by friendly smiling staff, oh, and a lovely dog.
My wife and I were shown to our room (Room 4), comfy, clean and quiet.
My Son who came up with us, he had Room 10, and he equally found his room comfortable.
The bar was very relaxing and served by very friendly staff.
Breakfast was good, all the usual fayre....again, served by warm and friendly staff.
I would recommend this hotel, which is born out by how quick rooms are booked!
Lovely stay, thank you.

Lovely modern rooms in a very quiet area, the restraunt food is absolutely wonderful, you can travel far and wide and you wont find such good traditional British home cooked food at these prices. The Lamb and mint pie is a family favourite of ours, and a rare treat to find 4 different lamb dishes available on the menu.

Highly recommended overall. Andy and team well done a pillar of the community.

Came for dinner for the first time in a while. I had forgotten how lovely the food is, and how generous the portions. The chips were homemade and delicious, gammon cooked to perfection and the desserts, well suffice it to say my treacle sponge would have fed four people and it was a portion for one! I may need to run a marathon to burn the calories now but boy it was worth it. Most certainly won't be leaving coming back so long next time. Thanks for the great service team!

A hidden gem. Stayed overnight on a stop off after finding this hotel online. Got a bit worried driving to it as we passed a garage and van hire but road changed to a leafy lane and drive up to hotel revealed a very nice outside with lawns and flowers. Approach to the door via a koi carp pond. Bright airy bar with dining and good beers. Shown to our room by friendly staff and made to feel like we had been friends forever and not our first visit. Room bright and airy with modern en suite and walk in shower. Food excellent and good breakfast. We will definitely stay again

I came on recommendation for the first time with my friend Barbara for a birthday meal. We had a delicious feast but on the way out Barbara's walker ran away with her and she had a fall. The staff were so very lovely in helping her to her feet and back in the car. They were so kind and patient. Thank you so much to everyone . We can't thank you all enough x

This hotel/pub is right out the way and the sat-nav doesn't take you too the location and isn't very well signposted if any !
Having stayed here a few times over the years.
A good size carpark
Reception isn't really a Reception more of a lounge room and you go to the bar which they give you a key in the lounge room you walk in too
Stairs no lift
Room an ok size
As is the shower room.
WiFi good
Bed creaky but comfortable
Shower hot but not very powerful
Breakfast included
Evening meal was good
Plenty to choose from and good value
Location is good for walks and running
Would stay again if in the area
