We had an absolutely amazing long weekend camping, as a group of adults and dogs, at The Pig Place. The owners, together with a couple of van-lifers (Aaron and Amy) made our trip entertaining and certainly memorable. Welcoming and relaxed, and simply brilliant hosts. The Friday quiz, and Saturday evening open mic night in particular were great fun... Well done, crew!
Additionally, being able to go to an adults only site, complete with a bar, meant we could really let our hair down. We will most certainly be seeing you lot again!!
Thanks again for the best weekend, we appreciate you arranging the early summer weather too 😉... Sarah & Simon

This is a brilliant place. Friendly, inexpensive, has fabulous food & a bar & shop. Even had live music when we visited. Would be amazing if had different toilets & shower, but understand why they dont. Will visit again though

Fantastic! The owner was the most friendliest fella. Loads to chat about. Came up with some friends from the south coast for a car event and and camp. Despite our cars being low the track was easy accessible. And plenty of room to camp. Having a fire pit area next to the canal was really nice with sofa’s as well. Definitely one to return to. Many thanks to the staff for having us at short notice.

Absolutely wonderful stay at The Pig Place this weekend - first time camping here and I will certainly be coming back. The food and drink selection was excellent (especially the bacon). We were fortunate to have a live music event on on the Saturday night, which was brilliant fun - Leatherat I'm a huge fan now! The view of the canal is stunning, what's not to like.

Thank you to The Pig Place for your hospitality and I hope to be back very soon

We went for a music event: the first Sunday Shindig with bands playing from 1pm until 11, but didn't camp or stay over.

A really enjoyable day: the music was good, the beer and cider was reasonably priced and the b food was excellent! Pork and apple burger with cheese and pulled pork for me at lunch (himself had 'the works') and a hog roast was available in the early evening.

Very pleasant, will definitely be back.

First time here, absolutely brilliant place for food. Plenty of seating areas near the cafe and by the river. They even have sofas and armchairs to relax on. The owners were so accommodating. The bacon was delicious. The road up to the cafe is loose gravel - so take your time if riding a motorcycle. There is parking available for all vehicles. You won’t be disappointed if you visit.

Stopped off on way home from the cotswolds for brunch. There were 7 of us. Breakfast was lovely, good quality ingredients. The sun was shining, so we sat outside and enjoyed the views.

Great pitch for our night bikepacking in the area. Staff were very nice and the facilities suited our needs. Breakfast the next day was fantastic and the environment was rustic and relaxed. Enjoyed the canalside seating and the uniqueness of having the pigs onsite.
There is some traffic and train noise that didn't bother us but might if you are a light sleeper. Facilities are basic but are very manageable. Everything you need to know is on the website so you know what you know what to expect which is great.

Visited as a canal visitor on a canal boat. Stopped at lunchtime for a few beers and a look at the farm shop. Been reading the neg reviews but we found all staff really nice. Spoke to the owner as well and found him very engaging. Clearly the usual half truth reviews and forced expectations resulted in verbal justification for the reviewers own misguided sake. A very poor form of communication to others.

It’s an honest place with staff doing their best to make it work. Yes it’s quirky and a bit bohemian and sure, it’s not for everyone but just because you didn’t like it or it didn’t meet your perceived expectations doesn’t make it wrong.

I personally loved the concept. If you go with no expectations you will leave happy. Judge the pig place on what it is, not what you think it should be.

This was a short stop off on the motorbike but a very quirky and interesting place. Coffee and cakes, a nice little farm shop alongside the canal. Resident pigs 🐖...well worth a visit.

Our second stay here. It's a lovely campsite with delicious food, a great bar, and good music at the weekends. Plenty of nearby villages and footpaths for walking. Would recommend to all.

Absolutely amazing place, run smoothly by Sarah and Dean and the very capable they assembled like Dave and Owen. Everybody is relaxed and helpful, the location at the Oxford Canal is a lovely spot and the animals like Gladys here are super cute. Don't miss the excellent breakfast!

What a cool campsite, arrived with a warm welcome, shown to our pitch which was right next to the pig pens (didn't smell and the pigs were well looked after).

They have a really good farm shop, and food van which uses there amazing produce. The breakfast is worth a try and there evening specials on the weekend.

Live music on the Saturday was very nice, sitting by the canal on the outside sofas with a drink by the fire pit. Good selection of beers, ciders wines etc at their bar.

Will be back for sure!

Great overnight stay at The Pig Place. The staff were great, toilets were clean and a fab bar and cafe on site. Lovely sitting by the canal in the sunshine with a drink! Definitely worth taking levelling chocks - we forgot ours but managed to find a fairly flat spot. We will definitely be back!

Lovely place to stay by Oxford canal. Dog friendly. Serves interesting local beers amongst other drinks and all forms if pork to eat. Lovely farm shop too.

Now showers so best for short stay unless you are self contained. No kids over night.

Loved to sofas and fire pits by the canal side. Enjoyed walking the dogs along the canal side.

Really friendly owners and staff.

Hope to be back.

Not really any need to add to others comments. A quiet and lovely location, friendly staff, pigs, canal side mooring and fantastic food. Worth pointing out the vegan and vegetarian food here is at least as good as rhe meat based options.
