The West Retford Hotel (Best Western)

Didn't actually stay, but attended for a funeral wake.
The room was well prepared and laid out. The buffet food was a lovely spread and everyone said how nice it was.
The team behind the bar and waiting on the room were lovely and very helpful.
Nicely done.

Just been for a Christmas meal today (boxing day) and have to say literally everything was absolutely superb, the food was excellent and the service outstanding, I hope the management pay the staff well as they are a credit to your organisation, I'm just under 2 weeks post partial knee replacement so I'm still on crutches, didn't even need to ask, the lady who seemed to be the head of the waiting staff came to the carvery with me and carried my plate and bought it over to our table when I'd chosen what I wanted, a really really kind thought and so appreciated! This was only a Christmas dinner with some past work colleagues. The three course meal was amazing value for money. The food was tasty and hot and the service was excellent.

Fantastic hotel comfortable bed very helpful staff and as a Chef I need food and the Chefs and Front of house are on a par with boutique and rosette standards big hearty hotel with a deep rooted professional courtesy.

Myself and my new husband got married here on the 22/07/23 the wedding planner Jessica was amazing throughout and provided alternatives when required. Audrey who coordinated our wedding was exceptional and due to the bad weather she ensured that we were able to get the photographs that we wanted outside of the venue and inside. The room was laid out Beautifully and everything was placed where we wanted it. The staff were lovely and amazing ensuring that all our guests were well looked after. We had one guest that had an allergy and the staff ensured that food and drinks were served separately. I would 100% recommend this venue as they really do look after you and ensure that your day is lovely and you have nothing to worry about as everything is sorted for you.

We stayed for one night on our way from Wiltshire to North Yorkshire. The room was very spacious, the furnishings were really nice and most importantly the bed was comfortable. The room had tea/coffee, a safe, a big wardrobe and a hairdryer. The grounds were really lovely and there was an outside seating area. We had an evening meal which was delicious and was reasonably price. The service was quick and the staff were really friendly. Within walking distance is the town centre and a nature reserve. I would not hesitate to stay here again and would highly recommend it.

A really nice hotel.. the rooms were great and the food was excellent and the service I couldn't fault...
For functions/weddings or a weekend away I would definitely visit again..

We stayed here for a weekend, to attend a family wedding at the hotel, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. From the outset, the staff were all really welcoming, friendly and at hand to offer assistance which continued over the entire weekend. The restaurant had some lovely choices and the meals we had were great. The bar was also well stocked. Being part of a family group, we were placed in the hotel's "cottages" which were well equipped, spacious and within close proximity to both the noon hotel and the lovely gardens.
Overall, I would definitely recommend stating here and will certainly revisit.

We got married at this fantastic venue 10yrs ago so I thought it would be nice to go back for our anniversary. I was in communication with Jessica and she arranged everything for me from the champagne and chocolates to the fantastic room and everything in-between. It was a surprise for my wife and she was thrilled.

My room was in a different building stairs to the room .
The room was very spacious as was the bathroom too
WiFi was excellent
Bed was really comfortable
Shower was ok
Short walk to the town centre lots of nice walks and running spots close by.
Evening meal was excellent had the choice of the bar or restaurant
Good menu and excellent value.
Would highly recommend and definitely stay again when in the area 👍

Popped in to make a booking for festive lunch for 3 person's. Fully booked in main restaurant but fitted me in another bar area. Perfect. The lady in reception made me feel so special. Love this place. I always feel that it wraps it's arms around me when I go through the door. This is so important to me at this time whilst I am grieving. Thank you to all the staff Judy

Lovely venue, great staff, good rooms and the food is brilliant. One improvement would be larger portions of the cooked breakfast but apart from that it's a great venue. One word of warning though if there is a wedding reception taking place it can be a little noisy which is to be expected however the disco finishes at midnight so your not overly disturbed. The wedding facilities and catering look superb
