I contacted James after searching via Google and based on the excellent reviews gave him a call. He came out the same day to repair/replace the gutter which was leaking and cleaned out the downspout that was blocked. Both James and his son did a fantastic job and I would definitely recommend James to anyone who needs a thorough and excellent job doing. 5star Service!😀

Nicest guy you could hope to meet. I found James' company online and he was very quick to come and assess the job. For the whole time I've lived at my address I've had issues with the roof leaking - my ridge tiles needed swapping out and the existing felt was old, cracking and in need of replacement. James could've easily insisted that I'd need new tiles as part of the job and I'd have been none the wiser. He said there'd be no issues reusing the ones we have though and my bank balance is all the happier for it. Any time I've wanted to speak to him, he's always answered and he couldn't have been more helpful. He didn't take payment before starting the job and with his son they've removed our tiles, fitted a modern membrane, rebattoned, refitted the tiles (replacing any that were needed) and replaced our old ridge tiles. A recent downpour has been a perfect test of the work carried out and there are no issues to report whatsoever. They've done a great job and I'm really pleased. James maintained contact after the work was complete and I've no doubt he'd have been quick to address anything if needed. I'll be getting back in touch to get our guttering done next and I'm glad to have James as a contact now for all our future work - thank you!

James & sons completed an excellent job of removing 2 Velux windows from our cottage and making good the surrounding roof, matching existing slates really well. James also grouted our ridge tiles and made a cracking job. The overall work was of a high standard, the price good value, and I would have no hesitation on calling on James again and recommending his company.

Absolutely first class service and work, and a genuinely nice guy - this is one of those cases where Google really needs a 5*+ rating.

My 95yo father was getting damp into an upstairs bedroom, which I'd identified as coming from the roof, and which was causing mould in the bedroom. We'd tried to get hold of other roofers to fix the problems, but with no success.

I phoned James at lunchtime on Tuesday and left a message. He returned the call at 15:30 the same day. He looked at Dad's roof that evening, called me back and we agreed a very reasonable price. Around 15:15 the next day, James phoned me to say that the work was complete, sent photos to show exactly what the problems had been and what had been done.

Honestly, I'm lost for words, and I can't speak highly enough about these guys - the communication, efficiency, consideration and work have all been first class.

I contacted Holyfield roofing, recommended by a family friend, As I had a leakage in my roof what needed an urgent fix, James came round the same day to access the situation, he found the problem straight away and gave me a fair price, James came up the next day and didn’t stop until the leakage had been solved. I contacted James based on reviews online. It started on the Sunday with the "I've been in the loft for the Christmas decorations and......." call. James came out that afternoon to investigate and by Thursday I had roofing felt replaced, box end and gutters repaired and cleaned and porch flashing fixed. I can't thank James and his son enough. Honest, reliable and friendly. Good price too. What more can I say....oh, yes, it would be great if he was a plumber and an electrician too

Over the Christmas period James came to sort quite a few issues out with my kitchen and main roof. He took me through and showed me what the issues were and once completed shown me what they had done. On the same night he rang to check to see if there were any leaking and to get in touch if there was any. With all the weather we have had since Christmas Eve, i have still been leak free. A great service and a reasonable price. I would highly reccomend and i would happily use again for any future work.

After contacting James and his team, he arrived later in the day as promised and did work on the flashing and other issues that I had the day after. I was given James’s number by someone on our local neighbourhood app. I was in great need of done roof repairs and fascia repair. It’s so hard placing your trust in someone you don’t know as there are many a tradesperson who is ready to take advantage and you may not get the job you’re wanting. I rang him and he said he would call the next day. True to his word he did, he assessed the job and said he could do it the following day. Now that’s service! James and his team came, they repaired a fascia board, re pointed my ridge tiles and sorted a leak I’d had from the chimney stack. A job well done. They even tidied everything away at the end too. James is a smashing bloke, very friendly and the lads were very polite too. I will definitely be calling on them again as I have another job needing to be done and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Called Hollyfield roofing solely based on reviews here, and wasn't disappointed. Had 2 leak issues with the house - one caused by the chimney stack (in very poor condition) and another caused by guttering. James and his son did a fantastic job, very efficient and pleasant to work with. Explained everything I needed to know, and got straight to work. Clearly both are very experienced and skilled. I'm very happy to have the house in a much better state.

James has done work for me several times over the years and again recently. Does a top job and has always saved me a lot of money as he was able to do the work without the aid of scaffolding compared to other roofers. Would not use anymore else to get the job done.

James came to look at a leak we had in the loft and gave us a quote, James gave us a run down on what he'd need to do to fix our issue. Unfortunately i do not have any before pictures but the pictures i have provided is the fantastic work that Hollyfield Roofing has done. The work was around the chimney and all ridged tiles along the top of the roof removed, re-cemented, replaced and partly down the roof to find the source of the leak :)
