Fantastic place. I often have to find a local merchant whilst working around here, there and everywhere and this place didn't disappoint.
Clean, friendly, well stocked and well priced.

Today was the first time I've bought from this company and it won't be the last.
Plenty of parking spaces, friendly efficient staff both in the sales room and outside.
The yard is much much bigger than it looks and there was plenty of stock of all shapes and sizes.
Not only concrete flags, but bags of sand, concrete, everything you could need, including timber and plastic pipes.
I only wanted one small concrete flagstone and I thought I would have to buy a larger one and try to cut it.
They had almost the exact size I needed (1cm shorter) but its fine.

I’ve used greengates a number of times all staff are happy to help, Dave F. One of the delivery drivers went out his way to get the material to site bearing in mind the road leading to it was hardly wide enough for small van. Saved many trips for me up an 80metre road on a rainy day, would recommend.

Great stock levels, managed to get long lengths of joist, great delivery service. They must be the best in the area.

Really helpful staff. Couldn't fault them. The lad who served me was knowledgeable and understood what I wanted and whilst waiting outside to collect from the yard other lads out there came to check I was OK and being served. 100% customer satisfaction.

I had to amend my previous review and amend it to 5*. The pandemic was a difficult time for all & my review was based on one experience during a very testing time for us all. Since then I’ve used Greengates nearly every week. They supplied all the building materials for our poultry rescue (The Chuckery Farm). The level of service has been excellent, from pricing to delivery, advise & range of products. They even have different sized delivery lorry’s so if you live out of the way and need a smaller delivery lorry for access then they have you covered. Excellent local company.

went there yesterday, picked up a sample of Torus architrave, they were very helpful and friendly, the guys on the counter and the yard guys too, went again today to place a order again, again great service, nice retail sales area and trade centre, i reccomend a visit there to everyone.

Went to Greengates this morning and the staff were so helpful. They cut the wood to size for us so that it would fit in the van and were so pleasant to talk to. Will definitely be going back when we next need materials!

Brand new building purpose built so works well. Plenty of space and a great amount of stock and at a good price. Knowledgeable staff to assist in what or how much to purchase.
