A lovely English Inn. It's an old building looking out on the town and church.
The bed was comfortable and room was warm.
The staff very friendly. Breakfast was great.
Richard is a character. Will come again when visiting family.

Richard is a fantastic host, the breakfasts are home cooked quality, set you up just right for the day, perfect. The hotel bar is staffed by a helpful Bar Tender happy to heat microwave meals if food not in service (many local shops right on the door step) . A nice pint of Abbots served here with outside tables and seating. Parking at the rear. Hotel bar in olde English house, TV and settles, bang on. Double rooms spacious, high quality bathrooms; singles as you'd expect, also nicely done. A warm welcome and fantastic service in a lovely setting...exemplary. One on my radar. Experienced traveller.

This place is a rare gem. Not only is Richard a knowledgeable and affable host the place a working museum filled rich history. The well-priced rooms were perfect size with a wonderful view of the 1000 AD churchyard. Highly recommended.

Lovely welcoming hotel with a lovely bar area and great food and an amazing breakfast.
Good size quiet rooms overlooking the lovely churchyard.
Unforetunately I left my laptop in the room but they kept it secure for me.
I'm just booking again now to stay on Friday night.

Great historical hotel with 450-years history. Excellent service, very clean space. Breakfast was tasty and well served. A view from our room was the most beautiful which I've ever had.

I booked a twin room online, so wasn’t sure what to expect. I have to say that I was extremely pleased with what I found, on arrival the lady behind the bar was efficient and pleasant, the owner was also very accommodating. The food was excellent with a varied menu, breakfast was also excellent. I would have no reservations in recommending this hotel to any of my friends and colleagues and would definitely check in again if I needed accommodation in the Attleborough area.

Recently stayed here for the weekend and would highly recommend. Richard the owner was very pleasant and friendly. The cooked breakfast was delicious and so was the Rib Eye Steak for dinner. We stayed in the Four Poster bedroom which had a lovely view of the churchyard and church. The rear garden is very nice and peaceful with the birds singing away. Lee & Dee 🤗

What can I say? This place, The Griffin Hotel is amazing. My husband and I stayed for a couple of nights in the Romantic suite with the four poster bed which we had 7 years ago. The breakfast was delicious and the landlord served us himself...a proper gentleman. There was a quiz night and a Scotsman hosted it. He was so funny! Made our night. The ambience was beautiful.

We unfortunately arrived late, checkin was listed until 8pm but we phoned ahead and eventually arrived after 10pm, the landlord welcomed us with open arms and made us feel at home! The room was very suitable for our needs, convenient being a triple room, great location too!

Great period hotel, with very friendly hosts. Good location in the town with all types of shops walking distance.
Great selection of evening meals and breakfast was great.
Easy parking.

This hotel is very unassuming in what it has to offer. The bedrooms are of a really good quality, which of course you don't see when you enter the premises,but what you do see is a bar with an assortment of good lagers and the same with an ever changing choice of real ales. Finally, the food is second to none, super !!!

A bit worn out but it is 500+ years old lovely olde world pub friendly staff, good value for money, old creaky stairs bed nice and comfy breakfast and service adequate

Always a go to when stopping in Attlebrough to see my partner/wedding planning/ or visit my son. Always great friendly service from Richard and the team with cracking food. Already planning my next visit.

Nice welcome, good pint, the 4 of us all enjoyed our food, I had a chicken meal with a very tasty cider type sauce 😀

Fantastic place the people there are very welcomeing nothing is to much trouble for them very relaxing pub & hotel.

Onholiday what a great discovery only ate here but kept coming back sunday roast was lovely as was the owner a real proffesional this place deserves to be busier try it you won't be disappointed
