I received mixed reviews about the food here but me and my friend thought it was really nice & everything was fresh. Great atmosphere and lovely surroundings. Will definitely go again.

Lovely place well decorated, taking you back in time with the little shops and cobbled street setting.

Excellent Steak and Kidney pudding! This place is a little gem, I really enjoyed my time here and I have visited many times in the past. The food is really tasty pub grub, wonderfully cooked and very filling. I had the Steak and Kidney pudding and it was chock-full of steak and kidney. The chips were nice too, chippy style and the veg on the side were nice also. My brother had Cheese and Onion Pie which he really enjoyed, but he said he could have done with some gravy as he forgot to order it (it's on the sides menu). There was plenty of staff and they were all really nice and friendly. Our food came quickly and it was nice and hot. The decor inside is really cool and I really like all the old signage. Will be back soon.

Such a comfortable place to eat. Lovely atmosphere, lovely food and Megan had the patience of a saint. Ten of us all dithering about what we wanted to eat and she smiled all the way through

'Owd Nell's Tavern is located within Guy's Thatched Hamlet. There is plenty of parking available. The staff are friendly and welcoming. There is a large outdoor seating area. The Tavern offers a great choice of drinks from soft drinks, tea, coffee to wine, cask kept ales and lagers from around the world. The food is good, home cooked and your typical pub grub and reasonably priced.
Would highly recommend.

Halloumi chunky fries in breadcrumbs, garnished with mixed salad, cranberry and a slice of lemon with a side plate of fried potato. Go at evening in the round room, a little electric train runs around above your head, the subdued light g is relaxed and comfortable. We food the food to be of a high standard and recommend going there. Outside, is the canal and the lighting around the building is romantic. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Peasantly surprised. Shared the fish platter for £20 and there was well enough for two, loads of prawns, cockles, muscles, salmon, halibut and some other fish I can't remember, crusty bread and salad, thought it was very good value for money, we were stuffed with a lovely view over the canal.

Big portions ,nice atmosphere is looking like a small town outside. For how busy it is the food is coming really quickly.

Owd Nells Tavern is situated within the quirky Guy's Thatched Hamlet. It is a busy pub with indoor and outdoor seating right next to the Lancaster Canal. There is a great selection of drinks available including quite a few draught ales. The food is mostly pub grub and pizzas but is very reasonably priced and really tasty.

The food was amazing as usual, the service was fast. It would have been nice if the girl who approached us with the tablet to take our order actually returned so we didn't have to order ar the bar.

Not much changed over the many years I have been coming here. The Cod and chips are very good value for what you get. Friendly staff and a selection of cask ales available. Dog friendly in certain areas inside and of course everywhere outside. The seafood platter is amazing.

Excellent meal here at lunch time. Home made steak and kidney pudding and a ploughman's lunch. Plenty of food as you can see in the picture, recommended.

Always a nice stop off for something to eat. If you are in the area pop.in and take a look. It's right on the canal side.

Staff were very helpful and friendly, our toddler has a lactose and wheat allergy and they sorted her a lovely pudding dairy free ice cream and fruit for her she absolutely loved it. The food was delicious and the venue itself is very scenic, warm and inviting it has lovely fires inside which is great for the time of year.
