Whittle Surgery

This surgery is amazing! I love the idea of a call back if there is a long queue and the surgery phones back straight away not a lot of surgeries i have been to in the past have offered this service. Everytime one of my children has been poorly the surgery has seen them all most straight away. The staff are all so lovely, friendly & very professional.

Dr Kong and the team took great care of me in a time of need today.

The staff here are wonderful and the appointments normally run to schedule.

I have been with this practice since i was a child. I have always found that when i have urgent need to see a GP this has been accomodated. Yes you do have to be on the phone line at set times and yes it is frustrating waiting for your chance to speak to the receptionist but this is no different to any other GP practice.

Patients who fail to turn up and do not cancel an appointment they no longer need also prevent availabilty to other patients.

Having read some of the negative feedback from 'apparent patients ' i suspect they turned up with self diagnosis and requests for medication or treatment they have decided they need but not dispensed because the doctor does not agree with their diagnosis!

I have never felt the need to question the capability or professionalism of this practice.

The best GP around. Always give whatever appointment they can, doctors have stayed late to see my baby, the staff are all so friendly and helpful.

Very professional drs ,nurses and staff , everyone is very friendly and helpful they always have time for you and listen to you , brilliant surgery and I wouldn't go anywhere else

Some of the reviews here have clearly been outed as fake. I've been with this surgery for 12yrs as a bona fide patient and all is fine; staff & clinicians.

An all-round improvement to the previous location. Much bigger surgery with its own decent sized car park and bike rack - better then sneaking into the pub parking 😆. Bear in mind if you're walking in from street level that the surgery proper is on the 1st floor (level with car park) not the ground floor, but there is a lift if you go in the street entrance if stairs aren't for you.

Whole place feels much cleaner, more clinical. Airier waiting room with proper light and ventilation (1.5x height room), and reception staff seem better and happier - though that could obviously be situational.

You now book all appointments for the day at 8am which feels much more sensible. Plus with the choice to book ahead or use the app it's easier (though still difficult, not unexpected for the suffering nhs) to get an appointment.

The touchscreen check-in wasn't working when I went, but it looks similar to the old one and the reception was right there for check in anyway.

The wait was as expected, roughly 30mins after my appointment time I saw a doctor. Quiet radio was playing and temperature was kept good as it was a decently warm day outside.

Doctor was very friendly and thorough, again seems much happier and you can get your prescription sent electronically to Whittle Pharmacy or get the old paper copy to pick it up anywhere.

Toilet was clean, two regular and a disabled available as well as a breastfeeding and a nappy changing room.

Overall better experience and I feel less dread about going back then I ever did at the old place.
