The Grey Horse Hotel

I'm an older lady, and I went for a quiet drink on my own,
Many pubs are not welcoming or comfortable when you're alone,
But I felt fine. The lady behind the bar spoke to me and made me feel welcome. My little dog was welcomed also.
I feel I can go back on another occasion.

Stopped for a pint after the match and was greeted by friendly staff and locals. A warm welcome after a terrible game 😂

Visited on Sunday October 20th for a drink before the Ipswich V Accrington lunchtime game. Pub clearly signed away fans welcome so popped in for a pint. Had hand pulled Thwaites which was excellent. My mate had the Guinness which was described as the best Guinness in Accy. The thing I really liked is they had laid on rolls, sausages & sausage rolls. Very welcome, especially for those who had been on the road since 6am. Rugby was on the tv and a good mix of away and home fans. Only stayed in the bar but felt like a proper pub. Only down side (nearly turned out to be an advantage for my mate) is they did not take a card. But the barman kindly directed him to the cash machine round the corner when it was his round! Wish I had stayed and watched the rugby instead of the football as it turned out. But highly recommend if you want a proper pint!

This public house is very nice extremly clean the toilets are spotless cannot fault this pub at all. Very friendley and we have only just moved to accrington.

Just went for drinks and enjoyed it

Made very welcome as away fans (Tranmere Rovers) for the Accrington Stanley game. The staff were really friendly and the atmosphere was great.

Great pub that welcomes away fans. Was the first pub we visited and we made sure we went back after the game. Highly recommended

Almost opposite the Crown Ground, this is a nice quiet, friendly pub with a great selection of Beers.
