Veer Dhara Restaurant, St Albans

I don't like Indian food. But when my younger sister recommended me to try Indian food here. I changed my mind. It was great. The spice taste was not too much. It tastes just right. The price of the lunch set is not expensive. And papadum is the most delicious I've ever eaten. I intend to come back and try their buffet soon.

We came here for the first time after hearing good reviews from some Indian friends. I must say the place is just too good for authentic Indian food. We loved the food and portion size was also perfect. We will definitely recommend this place to all😃

Great place to catch up with an old college friend for my birthday.
Excellent food, attentive service, relaxed atmosphere and the best of all is the dessert.
If it's good enough for Tom Cruise then it's good enough for me. 😁

Finally a Punjabi restaurant! Fabulous, fabulous food, full of flavour. Highly recommended, best Indian I've had outside London hands down. Only suggestion is modernising the decor.

I can't believe I've not reviewed Veer Dhara before😬, but St Albans is the ( lads weekend which has been a thing for 35+ years ) we're all pushing late middle age now , but we're all men so we NEVER grow up we just get older. 🤪.

Since Tom Cruise ate at Veer Dhara, they have capitalised on the fame and even have a selection of Tom's choices.
The restaurant relocated and grew in covers. Good luck to them.
However, this restaurant was brilliant before Tom and continues to be the best end to a perfect night out in one of the most historic and beautiful towns/cities, etc, in England.

I used to live in England, and for me, it's York , St Albans, and Canterbury, then Rochester . All ridiculously expensive, but if you want the history, you gotta take a kick in the wallet or go to Disney for fibreglass castles and tourist TOSH.

TBH, I think Tom just made a restaurant that's always been Epic, known to a wider audience and I just can't get s keema Nan where I live now, so its worth the flights/ car journey.

The tastiest Indian ive ever had. Good service and pleasant atmosphere. I go here regularly and definitely recommend

There are some lovely curry houses in St Albans but I have to say that this may make it to the top of my list.

Amazing food, great atmosphere and efficient service.

My husband and I went for the vegetarian set menu for two. Felt a little on the expensive side at £25.50 per person but it was definitely value for money for the amount of food and the incredible flavours that we experienced.

They also offer an all you can eat buffet on a Sunday which claims to be family-friendly. Haven't tried it yet but we definitely will be doing soon!!

1st visit to the restaurant. Sunday Buffet with a party of ten. Very friendly service. Nice venue & good atmosphere. Very good selection of meat & vegetarian options & a desert option. Definitely plan to revisit in the future. Added adhoc bonus a young magician wandering around the restaurant demonstrating card tricks, nice touch.

The ambience is so beautiful, I was feeling like I am at India. Staff behaviour is just amazing, all of them are amazing, I was served by Mr Ajay Sen, he is very humble and polite ,carrying a smiley face always ,approachable . Food quality is also very nice and taste is definitely great. Overall experience is good .

It is so good you have feel bad for the other curry houses in St albans.

All round perfect place for a curry. The lunch time menu is well worth checking out aswell.

The best Indian buffet in Uk, I am so happy I had good food after so long and definitely coming back , lastly special kudos to the gulab jamun it was too good !!

Great food great service and great people,had lovely time in the restaurant.

The food here is amazing! Suggested to my brother in law for his graduation lunch. It was perfect lunch. What was amazing was that im a new mum and had to feed the baby the manager allowed me to feed in his office and later sent down a female member of staff to check i was ok and if i needed anything.

It made my experience so great especially it was the first formal meal out with the baby.

Food wise I would recommend the dal makhani and paneer makhani amazing flavours!!

One of the best indian restaurant in UK... Quality And taste of the food is remarkable. I don't eat outside food but ... this place is worth to eat either you eat in or takeaway. I will recommend this place without a doubt and you will be thankful for whole life...Delicious Food....

Really great Ambiance of the restaurant, Great service and food. Its always challenging to get authentic Indian taste outside london however Veer Dhara didnt disappointed at all, will be back soon.

Hands down the best curry I have ever had!!! This was the Lobster curry and I cant wait to go again. Service was excellent and atmosphere was good. Very busy resultant but with a top service and AMAZING food.
