Aberdar Holiday Cottage

Another fantastic week spent in the secluded peacefulness that is Aberdar. A beautifully comfortable cottage that is such a pleasure to spend time in. Underfloor heating, log burner and a fantastic cinema room and separate games room. All the stresses of city life instantly disappear on arrival! A large enclosed garden to the side and a wonderful enclosed meadow garden to the front with a stream running along the bottom. Great to just sit and contemplate. Walks from the front door are fantastic, a beautiful moss covered forest at the top of the valley, easily accessible. The dogs love it as much as we do. So many walks less than 30 minutes drive away, all stunning. I can’t recommend this cottage enough, thanks Tim for enabling us to use Aberdar as our base to explore this stunning part of the country.

Cannot reccomend Aberdar & Tim enough! Wonderful cottage fully stocked with everything you could possibly need, Dog friendly is an understatement, we have 6 and all were welcome at the cottage,

And the surrounding areas are packed with walks and trials for the adventure minded

The cinema room and log burners throughout are perfection, truly a gem of a cottage nestled away in the winding roads,we will definitely back again.

second visit to Aberdar. A stunning secluded cottage down winding country roads in amazing scenery. The cottage is well stocked with everything you would need and more! Extremely cosy, a huge enclosed garden with some outdoor games, a kids climbing frame/ swing/slide as well as a fire pit, parasol and even a washing line if you need it! the kitchen has everything you could need.

We love staying at Aberdar and Tim is really friendly and a good communicator

Wonderful, simply wonderful, the best cottage we have stayed in the U.K.
We'll return, as it is a little piece of paradise.Log fires/private cinema/secluded yet not isolated, in a wonderful part of the world. Former home and inspiration of the famous crime writer and children's author Christianna Brand.The Cottage is spacious,welcoming and steeped in litererary history.

An amazing cottage in a beautiful part of Wales. Every thing you need for a relaxing break is there. We were only sorry we couldn't stay longer to enjoy but we will return in the near future to have a longer holiday. Great place to recharge your batteries. The refurbishment of the cottage has been done to a high standard and we loved the cabin and the magnificent view over the valley.

We loved out long weekend here. A truly special place. Tranquil, peaceful and beautiful. The cottage ticks all boxes and the cinema room is great after a day walking. Could not recommend enough.
