A must see ! Not only is this place gorgeous but it's also an amazing place in which to have a drink. There are a lot of beautiful, funny and cheeky neon signs of all shapes and forms every where. The place is very chill and you have different small seating areas where you can enjoy a drink from the bar. There is a variety of cold and hot drinks, as well as cake and small treats. The music is really cool. Overall a really good experience on a weekend.

Hard to even explain how good this place is. The staff and owner are genuine kind people and nice to converse with. The place it’s self is very visually striking and every time I turned my head another piece of art popped out. They allowed us to film despite giving 0 notice and only having an explanation of what we’re doing. And the carrot cake was undoubtedly by far the best cake I have ever eaten in my life (sorry mum). A glowing 5 star review in all areas, an absolute gem of London.

Very cool place to visit and has lots of pictures
Rather than that a place like that is supposed to have a more vibrant people at the bar….instead I found zombies with NO ENERGY AT ALL!!!

This place is absolutely amazing! It is well worth the visit. Their collection of neon signs are out of this world. We had a drink and wandered around the space, checking out the lights. And if you have 20p the giraffe will give you a great ride ;)

Utterly amazing place with enthralling and eclectic neon installations curated beautifully. No charge to enter and the most fabulous food made from local produce that will delight all tastes, including vegetarian dishes. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff are incredibly friendly. You can even hold private parties here.

While we were here there was a private due and although this meant food service stopped early, we didn't feel at all rushed. This shows how well the staff here manage their time.

Thoroughly recommend and I will definitely be back!

Ps they even have their own beer!

Great place with cool music and lots of fun neon signs to take pics of.
It was definitely worth a visit, even though it is quite far from both central London and from Walthamstow station.

Such an incredible place to visit.

Rarely busy, so it's easy to wander through and lose yourself in the incredible neon jungle. The artwork is mind-blowing and there's a fab little café / bar to kick back in.

Highly recommend a visit and picking up a copy of the book telling the story of how it came to be.

Absolutely awesome place. A feast for the eyes, very Insta-worthy. Great for meeting friends, even better for dates. Nice little cafe inside, is on a trading estate that also has a tap room and food options. Worth a visit.

I’d set aside 30 mins to have a wonder around and take pics, longer if you’re stopping for a drink.

What an absolutely amazing place. My friend took me here as a surprise when we were in waldenstow and I was expecting a junkyard however it is the most beautifully decorated establishment with the most incredible neon lights that will bring back memories everything from top of the pops to the fairground. Nice cafe to just take in the ambience.

Funky, colorful cafe bar/art gallery in Walthamstow, at a 10-minute walking distance from Walthamstow Central Station. I was here a wintery Saturday afternoon, hence it was busy. People come and go, since this is also a art gallery. Rock music was playing, which gave the place a good vibe and completed it. I was there for about 30 minutes and all seats available were busy so I couldn't stop for a drink. I will visit again in summer, since the Cafe is surrounded by 2/3 breweries that I want to try. Loved this place! Made me feel back in time. 🕺🎸🎷🎶

A must see if you're in London or like Neon lights. The cafe could do with some healthier and vegan options though. There's a secret garden area at the back with plenty of seating which is nice for the summer. There's also a large seating area indoors near the cafe and bar. If you want good photos without people in the background visit on a Friday as soon as they open. Some of the signs have famous origins such as the rainbow sign that appears in a Tom Cruise movie. They aren't all referenced so you may need to ask the staff for details.

Venturing into God’s Own Junkyard is akin to stepping into a vibrant, neon-lit wonderland, a place where artistry and nostalgia collide in the most fascinating way. Nestled in an unassuming location in Walthamstow, London, this large warehouse-style museum is a trove of neon signs, vintage memorabilia, and movie props that Chris Bracey, the ‘Neon Man,’ passionately amassed over a lifetime. It’s a testament to his dedication to the craft of neon artistry.

The journey to God’s Own Junkyard might seem a bit off the beaten path, but it’s an experience well worth the trek. As you meander through this neon maze, you’re greeted with eclectic sounds from iconic bands like The Doors and Rolling Stones, adding to the immersive atmosphere. It’s a visual feast, with every corner offering something new to discover, from signs of old strip clubs to quotes from famous songs, all glowing in a myriad of colors.

The Rolling Scones Café, situated within the premises, offers a delightful stop for refreshments. Whether you’re in the mood for a full English breakfast or just a coffee paired with a homemade cake (the creme egg cheesecake is a must-try!), the café provides a cozy spot to relax amidst the neon glow.

Visitors can also bring a piece of this magical place home, as the gift shop offers a range of souvenirs, from custom-made t-shirts to prints and postcards. For those looking to add a unique touch to their events or decor, the Junkyard also offers the option to buy or rent their original neon creations.

The only caveat to this otherwise enchanting experience is its location, which might be a bit far from central London attractions. This makes it more suited for locals or those on their second or third visit to London, rather than first-timers with limited time. Moreover, professional photography is restricted without prior permission, which is something to keep in mind for avid photographers.

In summary, God’s Own Junkyard is more than just a gallery; it’s a unique cultural experience, a celebration of neon art that transcends the ordinary. Its eclectic collection, vibrant atmosphere, and friendly staff make it a must-visit for those seeking something uniquely London, away from the typical tourist paths. It’s a place that not only showcases neon art but also serves as a vibrant community hub, making it a 4.5-star attraction in my book
