It is no exaggeration to say that learning with Daniel has helped reinvigorate my passion in playing guitar, which is something that I had previously lost.

Like many, I tried learn through re-learn through Youtube during lockdown and to put it bluntly, I found it just didn't work. In almost a year I've been learning with Daniel, I've progressed more than I ever had previously. I learn songs I want to play but Daniel also encourages me to play new songs from different genres to broaden my skills such as rock and indie. He's a personable teacher who understands about pacing and also has wonderful experience for me to grasp on to.

It's worked and I've really enjoyed these past few months- onto many more hopefully!

My son had been under Daniel's supervision for a year now and I could see the rapid improvement he has made every time he practices. He joined at the stage of Grade 2 and is now at Grade 6. Daniel made sure that my son was competent enough for each grading and my son achieved distinctions on every grade that he has done with Daniel. The best thing I witnessed about Daniel during the few lessons I was accompanying my son in lessons was that he was professional and incredibly patient and helped my son when he struggled to play something.
I hope that my son can continue to learn from him and recommend Daniel to everyone with an interest in guitar as he is an excellent teacher.

Absolutely loving how well my lessons are going! Initially, I tried learning through YouTube videos, which did not work at all for me. I started playing 8 months ago with Daniel as a COMPLETE beginner and I have learnt way more than I ever imagined SO quickly. All the lessons are tailored to suit my choice of music and artists which is unlike any other tutors I’ve come across so far, so really makes you enjoy the learning experience. Daniel’s very professional yet so enjoyable to learn and play guitar with! The lessons are flexible and Daniel works hard to fit around your schedule; he has been really understanding and has sometimes even taught online while I am away at uni! Everything is just as professional online; his high tech equipment and sound system really makes you feel like you’re in the room with him! Daniel is always well prepared before I even arrive for the lesson, which really gives a sense of care for my passion of learning guitar. He is also available to reply to messages, or has always followed through by sending videos whilst I practise at home, which really helps prepare for the next lesson. There are countless things to say about how pleased I am with learning from Daniel so far, and would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to learn! There is no better place to learn guitar at all!

Daniel is a great guitar teacher. My experience first started in 2022 when I had never played guitar. Daniel was encouraging from the start and now we have learnt over 30 songs in the space of a year by having regular 1-2 hour lessons weekly.
I was exceptionally pleased with how Daniel can prepare songs from different genres - English, Indie, rock, Bollywood, house. It’s been enjoyable to learn the songs I’ve wanted to play. A year on and I feel much more comfortable playing with Daniel’s guidance.
Daniel is patient and has a great set up to learn face to face.
Will continue to keep up with the lessons and looking forward to progressing this year!

Excellent guitar teacher. I would recommend to anyone. My teenage son has been going to Daniel for about a year now and loves it. He’s come along way and likes that Daniel chooses music he likes. Payment is easy and straightforward, very reasonably priced. He is helpful with advice regarding equipment etc.

Even though i have had only a few lessons with Daniel, his level of commitment and professionalism shows. Being an experienced
guitar player already, he has helped me more with my theory side. Daniel can cater for all sorts of levels, from beginners to advanced players.
His teaching is very clear and concise and the equipment he uses are to a high standard. He takes pride in his work and also looks after
his students that want to progress further into their guitar learning. He is also very adaptable to each specific student. For example when
learning about rhythms, Daniel specifically used phrases and words for me to remember them, this makes him unique as he is an excellent rhythm player also.

I believe that if a student can’t grasp the concept, Daniel can be able to adjust it to their level of understanding, this makes Daniel stand out to me as he can can easily translate his knowledge to others. I highly recommend him as a tutor for anyone looking to start out or just to refine their guitar playing and music theory and progress their love of music.

Daniel is a super teacher. My son has only been playing the guitar for 9months and what he has learnt from Daniel, through online lessons only, has been amazing.

Daniel is an amazing guitar tutor! His method of teaching is highly structured, easy to understand and fun which ensures that you always get to the next level of guitar playing. Thanks to him, I have been able to achieve a distinction (the highest possible reward) on all my exams. I started learning guitar with Daniel 2.5 years ago and could barely play a few basic riffs. Now, I am currently working on grade 7 with him which shows how effective his teaching is and how fast you can progress under him.

He can cater to all skills and styles and he makes sure that you play the music you like in his lessons while progressing your skill. In my case, Daniel knew that I am a huge fan of metal music and ,therefore, picked metal/rock songs for us to play during the lessons. He made sure that the songs had features which would improve my guitar playing and would satisfy my musical taste. If you're not into metal, Daniel can definitely cater towards you since he is a very versatile guitar player and teacher.

He has also used many exercises to improve different aspects of my playing such as improvisation, playing by ear and playing complex rhythms.

Daniel lets you try various different pieces of equipment which is important as you develop as a guitar player. I've tried several of his guitars, pedals and I've even tried out his Kemper amp! During my first gig, he came to watch me play and gave me lots of his pedals for me to use on the day. This shows how dedicated he is towards his learners - an essential part of being a brilliant teacher!

Daniel is extremely professional and communicates very well. His lessons take place in a well equipped, dedicated music studio which adds to the quality and professionalism of the lessons.

I’ve been doing rock guitar with Daniel for a few years now, and the quality of teaching is phenomenal, as well as the professionalism possessed by the tutor himself. I have been able to achieve 5 grades, all with distinction, in rock performance by learning from Daniel Cheng Guitar, and am now on the path to achieving grade 6, hopefully with a distinction too! Highly recommended.

Daniel is a committed professional musician and teacher. He is someone who pays attention to detail, setting high standards, delivering structured lessons from his custom studio, either face to face or remotely. Anything which may seem complex is broken down into simple, straight forward and easy to understand steps with a calm, measured and patient approach .
I have been learning for one year now, and enjoy the variety of different songs and techniques that I have been able to accomplish. It’s great that I can play songs from many of my favourite bands, which Daniel has rearranged to my level of competence, extending my knowledge with tips and tricks on each new pattern. I find our weekly lessons thoroughly engaging and would highly recommend him as a guitar tutor.

Dan is an amazing guitar tutor. There aren't many guitar tutors in Hounslow - but I'm very glad I found Dan!

I started learning with him in Oct 2019, with no guitar experience what so ever, and have been with him for a whole year. He plans every lesson depending on the music I like, and is able to arrange the song we're learning to the required difficulty so it's both challenging and enjoyable.

I've never played guitar before, so having a patient tutor is really important - which Dan is!

Another great thing is Dan has a music studio dedicated for guitar lessons - extremely professional and well equipped.

Daniel is quite possibly one of the most professional and hardest working musicians and guitarist I know. He is a true master of his craft and any knowledge shared from him is worth its weight in gold. Couldn't reccomend his guitar tuition enough because he also teaches about the industry/gear and trust me, you'll need that. Take it from someone who is a touring musician and worked at Universal Music. I can confirm his knowledge is vast. Don't settle for any less. Go with this guy.

Daniel is such an amazing teacher. He's clearly passionate about what he does and music.
I've really enjoyed all our lessons. He's incredibly patient and understanding, he pushes you to be better but, at the same time doesn't put too much of an expectation/pressure on you, he meets you where you are and works with you. He doesn't overload you with information. His simple approach to learning is effective and right up my alley.
He's been my teacher for about 8 months and I've already got a good amount of songs in my song bank and working on my Barre chords, something I thought was impossible to do.

Great teaching, lessons are organised and structured well setting clear goals for learners. Option for online and in person lessons which is great for continuing lessons if abroad or unavailable to travel. Theres a good balance between playing songs and technical exercises.
