I've just finished the 3-day beginners plastering course with Steve, which was brilliant. I've learnt so much in such a short period of time. Steve has been a great teacher and it is evident that he is a brilliant plasterer. If you're considering a career change or want to understand how to plaster then I would 100% recommend it. After recently completing the 5 day plastering course I can recommend MDS plastering to anyone looking to learn a valuable trade. It is clear Steve takes pride in his work and this passion is projected onto his students. I now feel confident to take on my own DIY projects!

I have just completed a plastering course at MDS plastering school in Hull and really enjoyed being shown many different processes of plastering, from plaster boarding a room, repairing damaged areas and skimming walls to name a few, i started with no plastering skills and finished the 5 day course feeling confident that i can plaster areas to a good finish this will definitely help me whilst renovating property.

Really good instructor: friendly, patient, supportive, and professional. The atmosphere was relaxed overall, but he also made sure to keep us on top of the quality of our work.

I took the 5-day course and it was hands-on from the start of the first day! He had a plan on what we needed to do, but also adjusted it based on each individual's pace to ensure we could get each skill right and build up the confidence to do it ourselves. I had no experience before, but now I know I can do it!

It was a fun course, well worth the money!

I was pleasantly surprised at how many aspects of plastering the course covered as it was so well ran. After the course I definitely feel confident enough to take on my own projects. After many bad experiences using online & social media. I have found a Diamond!
Using google maps & using a local tradesman.
From the initial call, through to site visit & completion.
Steve is punctual, honest & Reliable. The price quoted on the site visit was the same when work was completed, no added/hidden extras.
He works with a tidy manner, using covers to protect flooring & furniture.
Also cleaning up totally after his completed work. The extra smooth finish was good enough for me to paint straight on top (see photos) no sanding required.
I have recommended MDS plastering to friends & family for anymore future plastering requirements.

I literally just had my mini hallway walls redone by MDS Plastering and I am very pleased with not only the job that was done, but the efficiency and cleanliness of their service. Would be using them again for sure.

Recently completed the 5-day plastering course delivered by Steve. It's a great course and set up which takes you through increasingly complex skills. Ideal if you want to develop DIY skills or get a taster for plastering. Very laid back environment which makes it easy to learn.

Steve and I believe his brother plastered my ceiling and also did the feathering techniques to cover where we had pulled down coving as we didn’t need to re plaster all the walls . Very tidy reliable , and never stopped working all day. And a great finish to the job . Oh and no silly quote prices . Good value for money .

What a great week! Would highly recommend the plastering course, from never picking up a trowel, after the 5 day course I feel I have the fundamentals, foundation and most of all confidence to plaster without instruction.
Steve was more like a mate than a tutor, he was knowledgeable, gave clear instructions, but was also understanding and patient.
A great experience which allowed me to learn the skills I hoped for and had a laugh at the same time, can’t recommend the course enough.

I have recently been in the 5 day course at MDS Plastering School. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is either wanting a career change or just to learn a new skill. Steve is very professional in what he does and will give you all the help and guidance you require. The value of the course is unbelievable for what you get.

I recently completed the beginners course - really impressed and a really enjoyable 3 days - well worth the money! Stephen (the instructor) was really knowledgable and patient in his approach. Although there were 3 people on the course it did feel like a 1:1 instruction.

The course content was tailored to each persons individual requirements and experience - so if there was a specific job you wanted to do at home, you got some experience in a similar job in the practice environment.

I have done my 5 day course and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Steve is patient, helpful and easy to get along with. He is the right person to teach others especially us with no experience. I have learnt so much and every day is full of plenty of content. I would highly recommend. I'm so glad I came here, its the best overall. Price is great and the days are worth the money. Helped me build confidence as the week went on. I wouldn't have been happier anywhere else. Its a fantastic atmosphere and place to learn. Excellent!

Just completed the course, delivered by Steve in a relaxed and informative manner, which provided the best environment for learning.

Steve is a credit to his profession and has that ability to explain the processes involved in a simple and understandable way. He clearly demonstrates what is required and then lets you loose whilst monitoring and intervening when you need him.

A great introductory course to plastering which has left me feeling confident to pick up a trowel and do some of my own diy projects.

Steve is great. Makes it very easy to learn how to plaster. I had never picked up a trowel before walking into MDS Plastering school, now I feel I can take on my own plastering tasks.
