Kent Comics

I recently visited Kent Comics, and was very impressed by the range of comics available.
I had a list of 15 back issues of DC comics I wanted, (and to be fair these comics are over 15 - 20 years old)..so hoped I'd find maybe a couple) So I was truly amazed when the owner found 11 of them in his stock!! To find such an amazing shop like this, where you can chat with a very knowledgeable owner is priceless. And the discount on the sale was very good as well. Definitely worth a visit..

A small comic shop hidden behind some shops with a great selection of back issues, which are well organised. The shop was recently been taken over after the owner retired in January.

Very nice shop full of back issues. Reasnobly priced, a 50p box and a large amount of bronze and copper in dozens of boxes. The walls are adorned with more interesting, rare, older, first appearance and unexpected titles!
Paul and Mick know their stuff, and ate helpful.
They've a lot of stock that is not out, but welcome queries.
Definitely worth a visit.

Quite a while since I've visited Kent Comics, primarily because I'm no longer commuting near Orpington. But so glad I went. Has a vast selection of back issues. Honestly you could spend an entire day going through boxes here. Much of the stock is realistically priced and there's something for everyone. I picked up a lovely silver age Spectre comic for my collection, higher mid grade and no pence stamp. Glorious. I also got a handful of reader comics. Great shop so be sure to go and check them out.

What an absolutely fantastic comic shop with a lovely gent running it! Went for a visit and 5 hours later emerged with a bag full of books. Great selection, boxes everywhere to explore, solid pricing and just a wonderful experience. I will be back again when I am next here for sure. Thank you!

Easily the best comic book shop I've ever been to. Always have something I'm looking for at great prices. Helpful and friendly staff. Can't recommend enough.

I get my pull list from here and they are great for that. Paul always tries to pick me the best comics which I greatly appreciate and 90% comics come in great condition. Sadly some don't but unfortunately that is the nature of UK distribution and Paul always tries to sort it if there is a major problem, which again, I greatly appreciate. They are a local business and care greatly about their customers so I can only offer the same respect back. Much better than soulless corporations like Forbidden Planet.

The only problem is that when I pick up my pull list I also end up picking up the same cost in bargains from their "50% off graphic novels" shelf!!! It's too tempting to spend all my money (but please don't change it, I love that 50% off shelf.....)

I've also purchased a few items from their eBay store in the distant past. It's how I initially discovered them. I will say that those comics (Star Trek/X men crossovers) were meticulously and carefully packed. So great service all round!

Can't Imagine there being another comic book shop in Kent that beats this.

Other than Orbital Comics in Central London, the majority of comic book shops I've seen are rather tiny and primarily stock modern books with a small selection of back issues (the sale of figurines and other expansive merchandise always goes without saying). Kent comics on the other hand is like an Aladdin's Cave of wonder that I'm sure any collector or novice reader would love to explore. The shop isn't huge, but it's a darn sight bigger than most.

Equally the two brothers who own the place have been collecting comics since they were young and have a depth of knowledge and enthusiasm that is sure to make anyone feel very welcome.

Comic book lovers should not pass up on visiting!

One of my favourite UK comic shops. Lots of ridiculously hot key books at good prices and a comprehensive range of back issues. If you're a collector like me you'll be in heaven!

A great find. Has been a long time since I was able to flick thro back issues. A comic shop I will be using again. The owner was helpful and definitely knew his stuff. Looking forward to buying from them again.

Discovered Kent Comics while working in that neck of the woods. The owners are fantastically helpful and knowledgable, and it was great to have a good chat with guys who have a real passion for comics.

Been there a few times now and got some terrific stuff - Dreadstar volume 1, a How To Draw Superheroes book by the legendary Joe Kubert, and a wad of limited series from the 80s and 90s all at brilliant prices.

Kent Comics is a hidden gem that is packed with glorious back issues, a nifty assortment of trades and lots of rarities such as Marvel UK titles, SF paperbacks and much much more.

Can't rate or recommend it highly enough. Six stars or more would be ideal!

What a fantastic shop, thousands of current and back issues, great owner who talked comics with my daughter and searched the stockroom for certain item's, and the prices were excellent also. A hidden gem(to us) we will definitely be regular visitors in future.

It's a small hidden gem love being in the shop lots of selection and organised a bit small and cramped but with the quantity and quality of the comics and collectibles it's worth it

I have collected comics for 30 years and this shop has the most stock I have ever encountered! Had everything I asked for and the staff are helpful and knowledgeable. If you are interested in comics at all you owe it to yourself to give these guys a visit!

I am now a local buyer from Kent Comics but I have lived all over the country but still using Kent Comics bearish of their huge stock of back issues and their always "Happy to help" attitude. Always a pleasure purchasing from these guys as I have done for the last few years and will continue to do so for many more. Ty

Exactly what a real comic shop should be like. The guy in the shop was really friendly and helpful and had a great knowledge of comics old and new. I would definitely recommend this place expecially if you are missing vital issues to your comic collection. They have a HUGE selection.
