Brown Hare

Brilliant evening at the Brown Hare tonight; we had family up from London so was wonderful that we all enjoyed a wonderful time together. Great food; brill atmosphere but OUTSTANDING service. Shout out to Bethany that could not have done enough for us. Really special especially considering the restaurant was busy and we were a large party. Highly recommend 🥳

Attended family bingo night for cash for kids charity, great atmosphere, great good, fantastic prizes - well done to the team on putting on such a good community event. Will definitely be back if there's another event 🙂

Had a lovely meal with my Mym and our dog Koko.
Food was amazing and even better dogs are made to feel so welcome. The doggy pack was such a surprise! Water, treats and a blanket and then a sausage dinner !
Would definitely come again.

Good hot food. Reasonably priced. Excellent service and food came quickly. Nice surroundings and good outside area. Staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Won't hesitate to go back. Give it a try as it's a little gem.

Lovely food, can recommend the chicken burger! Place is lovely and clean, the team are welcoming, you can sit and have a conversation without music being deafening and they are dog friendly!! Would highly recommend the brown hare and the team to anyone

Had an amazing meal, great service and really helpful and friendly staff, served by Luke and Han. If we didn't live so far away we would certainly keep coming back. Highly recommend.

Also heard they do quiz night & other evenings, the atmosphere was nice & relaxed while we were there. Thank you to the staff for making our first time enjoyable!

Great festive meal today. It was great tasting food and we weren't rushed like some places do.

Came with family and all got a roast, seemed pricey but once food arrived the portions and taste made it reasonable, veg was spot on. If service was based on only speed, it would be marked much lower but it seemed there was only one young girl working (pregnant?) and for one person on their own it probably couldn’t get much quicker. This looked to be the case the time we were there and looked to be doing the bar and taking our food and orders. Service was impeccable though and still took the time to make younger daughter feel special. Not put us off coming again but may need more people on a busy Sunday

Extremely friendly welcome, lovely food, service and food were both excellent.
We were well cared for and time frame for drinks and food courses was brilliant - even though we were a large table of 9 with 2 children!

Couldn’t fault anything at all, great atmosphere and experience.

Our visit was a girls tea and catch up. Welcomed by a lovely young lady, shown to our table. We were given time to look at the menu, not rushed at all. The food was lovely, hot and delicious. The waitress wasn’t pushy and left us to chat whilst remaining attentive to our needs.

Lovely, friendly staff. Cosy, rustic atmosphere. Dog friendly with cute little boxes of blankets, treats and water bowls. Premises was spotless and well-maintained. Food was delicious and beautifully presented, highly recommend the handmade kebabs and chicken tikka. Huge portion, staff kindly provided a to-go box. Great experience!

We had the Festive menu. Starters were very tasty and good size portions without being too much. Main course was exactly as it should be - juicy turkey, fresh veg, well cooked roasted potatoes and all piping hot. The puddings were also good, not over facing but full of flavour and again nice and hot.
The Staff were very attentive and efficient. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience and we will happily return again.

Was in last night (13 March 2024) and the food was superb. New menu is top notch. I chose the wrapped chicken with sauté potatoes. For afters I had the brownie with salted caramel ice cream covered in chocolate. Both were spot on.

The atmosphere was good and, as ever, service was top notch.

And with 30% off mains it's a bargain.

We had a fantastic meal here and will be returning. We can recommend the delicious pies and the fish and chips! The restaurant was busy, however the staff had everything in hand and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves! We would like to say thank you to Sacha for looking after us. We look forward to our next meal at the Brown Hare.

The food was really nice and really good gluten free options, my whole family enjoyed it. The bingo was also really fun!
