Although small, it's enough and it's brilliant for kids and adults! Lots to see, experience, touch and explore for little adventurers. Great tour bus around nearby area, takes around 25 mins and it's for extra cost, but it's a donation. It's free but you cannot enter it if you don't have brooklands museum tickets.

Excellent museum within the grounds of Brooklands detailing public transport in London from the beginning through to the TfL of today. Plenty of exhibits and interactive pieces for smaller people. Very well run by the team of knowledgeable volunteers.

Went here as part of the Brooklands Museum. You pay to enter the Brooklands museum and the London Bus Museum is inside a part of the museum space. Lots of old London buses and interactive elements. Opportunities to go on some buses too. Well worth visit.

I had the best time! What an experience. I went with my son's school on a trip and I'm intending on going back ASAP with the rest of the family. The staff were magnificent, interactive with the children and made us feel so welcome with a wealth of knowledge about each thing. There are plenty of interactive activities. If you're a home ed family this is a wonderful place to visit too. Lots of parking and easy to find

Bus Museum: Fun for All
I recently visited the bus museum, and it was a wonderful day out for the whole family, from grandparents to grandchildren. The museum offers a fascinating glimpse into the history of buses, and it's a great way to learn about transportation through the years.
The exhibits were well-maintained and showcased a wide variety of buses from different eras, including vintage models, double-deckers, and even some iconic buses from London. The kids and the grandparents all found something of interest, whether it was the interactive displays, the informative plaques, or simply reminiscing about the buses they used to ride.
The staff were friendly and knowledgeable, happy to answer questions and share their passion for buses. There was also a lovely gift shop with bus-themed souvenirs for all ages.
Overall, the bus museum provided a memorable and educational experience for our multi-generational group. We left with a deeper appreciation for the history of transportation and some great family memories. It's a must-visit attraction for anyone looking for an enjoyable day out with the family.

A small little bit of the bigger Brooklands museum site, but is really quite nice. Staff are super friendly and hugely knowledgeable.
If you get an annual membership for the bus museum it includes access to Brooklands too, but is an awful lot cheaper.

Didn't think I could get as excited about buses as I did on this visit. Lovely presentation, lots of interesting things to see, and some beautifully restored vehicles on display too. A lot of effort was put into this hanger and it shows!

What a fantastic space. A trip down memory lane indeed. As a prolific bus user all my life I found the Museum thoroughly interesting. The kids had a great time on the simulator and hoping on and off of the buses.

The London bus museum is a museum in a museum lovely place showing the evolution of London buses from horse drawn to the famous route masters and even up to electric buses it is an extremely interesting place to visit . Filled with lots of information and interesting stories about former employees and the London bus company . Plus you can go for a ride out of the museum on a historic route master for a small cost . Lovely place and some interactive things inside for you to pretend to be a bus driver . Well worth a visit some great staff very helpful and knowledgeable.

Lots of cool bus stuff, even if you aren't necessarily into busses! Highly recommend and free entry as part of the Brooklands yearly membership. I think Brooklands is free entry as part of your Bus Museum yearly membership too, so either work!

Finally took my Dad to Brooklands and he loved it. Its a massively important site for racing and aviation and the £18 entry fee is dearly needed to help maintain all the immaculate cars, buses, motorbikes and planes. The volunteers there have alot of engineering experience and are so happy to tell you stories about the place that you wouldn't know otherwise. Please go and donate if you can afford to.

This was a nice surprise because the last time I went to Brooklands this museum wasn't there. For me it was the highlight of my visit. Fantastic examples of periods buses laid out well in a very up to date museum. Brilliant!

A very interesting and well presented place to visit. You don't have to be a "Bus Spotter" to enjoy this place, it brings back memories from your childhood or holidays which puts a smile on your face. It also gives you the opportunity to explore the social and transport history of London and its surrounding areas.

Interesting place. Great if you like buses and history. I personally preferred the planes at Brooklands, which this is part of.
There are interactive displays here that kids enjoy.

Absolutely loved my visit to the London Bus Museum. For those confused it is inside Brooklands Museum.
We've been a few times before, but there has been a recent shift about which has created more space.
Unfortunately some of the buses are a little crammed in and not easy to take photos of, but nonetheless it has so much to look at and learn about buses, even an interactive area for kids!

Bizzarely interesting. Found myself being drawn into conversation about bus restoration and spent quite a bit of time looking around all the advancements in the transport network.
Definitely worth a visit, regardless of what you might think🤔.

Excellent place to come and visit, takes you to a time when you say things like 'i remember these', alot of old and new buses, some going through restoration work, we spoke to an old gentleman who was in the process of restoring a tatty old green bus that was found in a barn in france just after WW2, and this bus still runs to this day, and the very interesting gent who we spoke to had a vast knowledge of how just to undertake this restoration, certainly very intersting to listen to him, could of listened to him all day, excellent place, brilliant every part of it, well done to the team of restores, you all do an amazing job keeping history alive, well done.
