Hand & Spear (Hotel)

Didn’t stay here but came for brunch a couple of times as well as an evening meal….great food and lovely atmosphere! Special mention to Karen who served us and was very friendly and helpful. We can also bring our small dog with us which makes it especially appealing. Now we have discovered it we’ll be coming more often for sure!

Had Sunday lunch, wow! Great food and plenty of it.
The chap on duty was so helpful and accommodating I asked for his name, Sotty, what a gent.
His colleague Kelvin was great, really welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. A nice chilled atmosphere and nice people.

Haven’t stayed in the rooms here but if they’re anything like the pub itself I’m sure they’re lovely. Really friendly staff, Sotty in particular is always really friendly and welcoming, always happy to engage in conversation and go the extra mile. Reasonably priced drinks, lovely atmosphere and nice beer garden in summer! Would recommend!

This place is a hidden Gem in Surrey. Loved absolutely everything and Joanne is a total rockstar!

Brilliant food dinner and breakfast utterly awesome!

I did leave my credit card and had to return and I was really tempted to stay another night but work got in the way!!

Hand and Spear is a great pub. Very friendly and great service for Mother’s Day lunch. Big thank you to Karen, who served us, she was very attentive and quick service. The glass of Prosecco for the mummy’s was an great touch!

I had a short but nice stay at Hand & Spear. Cosy and British style rooms. I had the best sleep in a hotel for months, but that could also be down to other reasons ;)
Breakfast was delicious and is freshly prepared for you. I had the vegetarian full English breakfast.
Staff is also very nice but was a little busy when I was ordering breakfast and requesting my invoice which took a while. But overall highly recommended, although a bit pricier than others.

Fabulous lunch. Main courses delicious, a superb mousse for pudding with coffee.

Emily looked after us really well and makes a terrific Bloody Mary!

Looking forward to the next trip!

This is a quaint little hotel located right next to Weybridge train station should guests want to travel directly into Central London.
Although we didn’t use the bar or restaurant for our one-night stay, I observed good quality beers and wines available and the food smells which remained downstairs were divine!
The decor and the rooms themselves were tasteful and evidence of quality, mostly evidenced by the high grade electric switches and sockets. This is not a weird observation but one of acknowledging the quality decided upon at the time they did their renovations.
Stairs and hallways with our heavy and voluminous cases was a little tricky but ample free parking right up close to the door helped mitigate it.
Staff were very pleasant and accommodating and willing to chat at check in and checkout which makes one feel human instead of a commodity!
The rainfall shower was the best I’ve ever experienced and had me arguing with my eco-self to not stay in there way longer than I needed to :-)
Overall, I would happily stay there again and have no issue recommending it to others.

What a delightful setting for this gastro pub which is hidden down a leafy lane in Weybridge but just a few minutes walk from the station. The food at Hand and Spear is top notch. I really enjoyed my pan fried Sole with a delicious glass of Prosecco. Our sever Chloe was so sweet and attentive. In fact all of the staff were amazing. Can’t wait to go back. Add this one to your list.

The breakfast selection is delicious.
The dining rooms have this deliberate rustic effect; it's lovely.
The grounds/surroundings are wooded and green.

WiFi was asking me to log in via Facebook or Twitter, so I ditched that for my stay.

Stumbled into this gem! Great service, filled my belly with food and laughter. Chloe our server even gave us some tips for where to go next. What a kind cutie and a good time!

What a place. I had the best weekend ever. The atmosphere on Saturday night was buzzing. My hotel room was so cosy and warm. The breakfast in the morning was soooo delicious. The avo on toast with eggs and bacon was another world. Thanks will be back next year 100%. Extra thanks to Sotty who found my jacket and kept it safe for me.

I’m a regular guest at the Hand & Spear, normally for work. The rooms and food are great and the staff are too.
It’s always a pleasure to stay here.
Very handy for the train station if one fancies a night in London too.

Stayed here on a business trip. Ideal location for travelling by train. Literally next door.
Staff were amazing and really friendly. Arrived late, just before kitchen was closing and they rushed through an order for dinner, which was lovely. They pre-empted things like taking water up to my room, even came with a glass of ice and lemon! They were so helpful.
Bed was comfy, shower had great pressure, room was cosy. Windows had double internal glazing so didn't hear any trains.
Would definitely stay here again.

Booked for dinner, local to me with handy rail links, great menu and wide selection of beers, good service too, very busy at weekends..

The food and service was spectacular, Karen was friendly and attentive at all times.

Enjoyed a lovely meal and a couple of drinks here midweek. Really pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. We had the burger and the hake. The fish was cooked perfectly and came with a delicious sauce. The sticky toffee pudding was intensely sweet and a huge portion - win win for a sugar lover 😂 Would recommend eating here and will definitely be back! Thanks for looking after us Karen 😊

I have stayed 3 times at the hotel. If you need accomodation in the Weybridge area, H and S is a great place for food and beverage, service and logistics, being 3 min away from the train station. Paul and Tom are great hosts. The rooms are spacious and always clean. Each room has it's own design, I will be back.
