After a very rainy day on the South Downs Way, we were so happy to arrive at the moonlight cottage. We were surprised by the amount of food (soup, cake,...) that was set out for us and it was the perfect place to get warm and dry again. Clean, warm and very cozy!

This is a fantastic place to stay. We had a really warm welcome from Bev after a very wet walk on the South Downs Way. Compimentary hot drinks and flapjack were really appreciated. The facilities were great. The place is well furnished and obviously looked after. The breakfast was superb and set us up for another (thankfully drier) day of walking. Can't recommend highly enough.

3 of us stayed at Moonlight Cottage as we were walking the South Downs Way.
We were really well looked after by Bev. Tea and coffee were easily accessible. Breakfast was perfect and Bev had even managed to source some gluten Free food after I had forgotten to tell her that one of our party had Coeliac.
The cottage was beautifully clean with great bathrooms and comfortable beds. Everything had been thought of to make our stay very welcoming
We would love to come and stay again

Having followed the renovations of Moonlight Cottage we couldn’t wait to book our stay- it definitely lived up to the beautiful pictures. It is stunning and pure luxury at an affordable price. The entire guest house is spotless, the beds really are like sleeping on a cloud and the bath was a perfect treat after a long day!
We felt very welcome and the owners are extremely accommodating- thinking of every detail, providing delicious food in beautiful surroundings.

So much more than a place to sleep- you won’t want to leave! Can’t recommend highly enough!

Fantastic little guesthouse. Really clean and comfortable. The host was more than willing to give advice on the local area and even made us a packed lunch for our walk the following day. Perfect for a South Downs Way walking trip!

Had a lovely stay at Moonlight Cottage as part of our SDW weekend walk. The cottage was the best b&b accomodation I've stayed at in terms of comfort and small details that really make an impression. Bev was extremely friendly and welcoming and the breakfast basket provided was delicious! Would definitely come back and would recommend to anyone!

We recently stayed at the beautiful and newly refurbished Moonlight Cottage.

As a family of 4 we were able to reserve the Bosworth Suite which provided us with 2 double bedrooms and ensuite bathroom within a separate section of the cottage. The rooms were gorgeous and the beds incredibly comfortable. There is a lovely garden to the front of the cottage and court yard to the rear with seating areas to relax or have a drink in.

The Moonlight Cottage was perfectly located for us to visit Cowdry Park, Goodwood Racecourse & Motor Circuit as well as a trip to the beach before the end of the school summer holidays. Breakfast provided is continental style with freshly baked (still warm) pastries, toast, cereals, fresh fruit, berries & yoghurts. There is also a selection of snacks, drinks (including beer, wine & spirits) available to purchase as well as packed lunches.

We were made to feel very welcome and loved it so much that we can't wait to come back. I couldn't recommend the Moonlight Cottage highly enough to anyone looking to stay in this area.

Really well cooked breakfast (in two different sizes). Friendly owners and really cute decorations. One of the best soya lattes I've had. (And you get the feeling you are part of the village as locals come in for a cup and a gossip!)

We stopped off here on our way from Winchester to Eastbourne by bike. The food, service and setting we were brilliant.
The owners made us feel so welcome, it was a real highlight of the day.

We arrived as 2 soaked and filthy cyclists in need of shelter and we couldn’t have had a warmer welcome. The soup was substantial and delicious, the bread freshly warmed. We were then lent tools to get us back on the road.

A beautiful cottage immaculately presented, an attentive host and very comfortable. We stayed only one night for a family wedding but throughly recommend staying at Moonlight Cottage.

Cosy, lovely little bnb. My single room was quirky and warm so I felt v comfortable. Slept well and enjoyed tasty eggs for breakfast. Plus my cheese and marmite sandwich ordered for my lunch was great on a long stretch of the walk.... A recommended good stop on the South downs way.

Lovely little quaint place, and friendly proprietors. Our room was very clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed a tasty tea, which was much appreciated after walking all day on the South Downs Way.

Welcoming team even though we were very late in arriving. Clean and brilliant evening meal and breakfast after a hard days ride. We had a packed lunch and the sandwiches had a generous filling. Thank you

What a pleasure to stay with Sue and Steve at their lovely cottage B&B. The hospitality is outstanding and their local knowledge of the South Downs area second-to-none.

I had a nasty fall cycling on the SDW in June, and the kind proprietors gave me an awful lot of help to clean up my battered face and limbs. They could not have been kinder. Thank you so much - feeling much better now!
