The best venue in the area. Absolutely fantastic atmosphere, great sound, reasonable prices, had a great time many times and love to come back again.

Great basement music venue. It's intimate without being claustrophobic. Beers prices are reasonable compared to other venues in Manchester. Great place to see your favourite band (as long as you don't follow someone with a massive fan base).

Fantastic live venue with the best atmosphere ever. The stage has low ceilings so it isn't the best to play on, but the crowd here are always really up for it. Already looking forward to next time!

Seems like a decent little live music venue. The sound was good on the night and I enjoyed all the bands. Staff seemed friendly enough. Drinks were a bit on the pricey side as they often are at live music venues but I've been to places that charge far more.

Well we are older folk and went on a live music night of older bands. I found the place was well laid out, decent bar, reasonable toilets and friendly staff on both the bar and door. There was a mix of ages there from late teens to late 50's and it made it a great night

Love this little venue especially when the Parlotones are on! Maybe not the best acoustics but that's ok especially if you're watching one of your favourite bands.So sorry it's closing it's doors in 2019.

Excellent venue. Intimate space and good stage area

No pretensions here - purely and simply a great music venue! Went to see Dub Pistols - Lively and very good natured atmosphere + Loud and good sounding PA. Looking forward to going back here again.

Went to see a Bon Jovi tribute act. Drinks were cold and served quickly and the staff friendly. You could pay by card if it was over £10 too. I paid the £2 to check my coat and bag behind the bar and got a card which was much better than a ticket as it was so hot! The air con was a relief and also the water on jugs on the end of the bar so you didn't have to cue for water. Really enjoyed it! The Loo's had lots of mirrors which was good! Will definately be back.

The Ruby Lounge is excellent as both a bar and music venue. We've seen the likes of Pains of Being Pure at Heart and Grouplove here, in a small venue that gives the gigs a really intimate vibe. It's below street level so it's quite dark but it adds to the atmosphere, and the setup of seats around one side, stage and dancefloor on the other and bar smack bang in the middle, is perfect. Drinks prices are ok and there are a good selection on offer too. Would definitely recommend for gig venues at very least!

Great feel to the place.
Reminded of the the Marquee Club on Wardour Street where I spent most of my youth.
Will return there for sure.
Highly recommended for an intimate venue.

Excellent venue, good bar with good variety of drinks, a good atmosphere with Live Music. Also good music played through the evening. Clean toilets. Food available. Attracts a trendy crowd.

Quirky rock n roll venue with great live shows and packed club nights in central Manchester. There's a mini-cinema and pinball machines inside, and the bar has a good range of beers.
