Loch Ken Holiday Park

Stayed here in out campervan. Great site set right next to the Loch. Liked that you are not on set pitchs if on the field. The loch was great and very easy access with paddle boards kayaks ect. Will definitely stay again . Bit of a climbing frame for kids but would be nice with abit of a smaller one for the smaller kids . But overall very good .

Went last year all the staff were helpful it's cheap plenty to do even hiring boats from the marina is cheap clean and a joy to be at.

Lovely place with good clean facilities. Good location, only 10 minutes from Castle Douglas. Hot showers and clean toilets. Friendly and helpful staff. On shore of the loch with easy direct access to the water. A one-off charge for your canoes/SUPs etc and if you don't have your own they also hire craft out for decent rates.
Been before and will be again!

I kayak on loch ken, and use the cafe for a bacon roll and a coffee, fantastic location, great coffee and roll, really friendly staff.

Great site! Pleasant staff/owners. Tidy and clean. Great park for kids with fairy door trails, outside chess and table tennis.

Had a 5 night stay here. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Pitched our tent and camper right beside the loch side. Fantastic view. Loch was flat calm for paddle boarding.we fished for the 5 days as well. Was great seeing all ages in the loch having fun in the ☀ Grounds and toilet facilities were well kept even during the very busy week. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful and stunning place to stay, extremely well maintained grounds, great for families and couples also. Statics, tourers, tents and motorhomes welcome.
Good size and on the loch, staff very friendly and also a fab walking area for your pooches . Would highly recommend.

Lovely site in a picturesque location. We spent loads of time in the water with the kids paddle boarding and fishing. We camped at a large group of friends with kids. The kids were kicked out of the park at 10pm sharp to settle the camp at night. And us “grown ups” were very conscious to quieten down as we sat around a small campfire into the early hours of the morning. Staff were on hand to keep us all right and the facilities were spot on. I’d definitely go back, we loved it.

Gorgeous holiday park, campsite was lovely and clean and staff were especially nice and helped to put our group together. Multiple small areas for the children to play. Toilets and showers were consistently clean and stocked. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would happily return.

This holiday park was a very nice place to stay at. Staff were friendly and helpful. Nice comfortable caravan which was very tidy and clean when we arrived. Had a nice scenery in front of the caravan. My hubby did quite a bit of fishing there which he enjoyed.. 😊👍

Beautiful well maintained park in a beautiful part of Scotland. The Loch is perfect for all ages to enjoy with boats and canoes available to hire on site. Facilities are kept really clean, dog friendly and a great team looking after everyone's needs.

Love going to Loch Ken. While the holiday park lacks in a restaurant and bar ( so take your own drink) your only 7 miles from Castle Douglas .. The area is perfect for any water sports , and as a base for exploring the area. The site has a small shop and boat hire, you can also get a coffee from coffee machine in shop. The owners and workers very helpful. And due to very limited light pollution you get to see stars well on clear nights. There are lots of events on throughout the year at various locations in surrounding area so make sure to gather up any leaflets you find for information.. Enjoy.

I have been twice for camping and truly love it. Scenerey, site, facilities 10/10. I cant fault it atall. Will hopefully be back next year. Thankyou for your hospitality

Been coming here for 6+ yesterday spring and summer. Beautiful, peaceful place. Great for kids with wide open spaces and lovely Loch to paddleboard, swim or just sit and enjoy. Really friendly staff and owners, immaculate facilities and hardly any midges. A real gem of a place, enjoy!

Beautiful place, unfortunately it rained nearly every day that we were there. But when the sun did come out, absolutely beautiful. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. There is an on site shop and the shower block was always clean and tidy.

Good location right on the loch side, nice level good size pitches with good views. Friendly owners, really good clean toilet and shower block. Shop on site. Plenty of room for tents toilet and shower and pot washing with hot water on tent field. Very quiet at night

Absolutely amazing campsite. We have been coming here for years and the site is as well cared for as ever. Even though it has expanded over the years it has still retained its charm and the feel of a true camping experience as opposed to the more commercial sites. Lots to do for adults, children and dogs. We have just spent a pleasant 10 days kayaking, fishing and walking the red kite trial. We only used the car on a couple of occasions to stock up on provisions, this campsite really does have everything right on its doorstep. 🏕🎣
