Cwm Irfon Lodge Cottages

We stayed here for a holiday, and loved it. Such a beautiful location and and the scenery is stunning. The cottage was just beautiful and had everything we needed, the owners provided for us very well. It's so peaceful here, just what you need when coming from the city. Listening to the birds and the stream near by. The sky is amazing at night time, you can see all the stars clearly, the Milky way was beautiful. No light pollution. The grounds at our cottage were just beautiful to, there is a woodland walk, a must do. We highly recommend staying here.

Absolutely loved are stay here it was quiet and rural and a faboulous cottage to stay the views are amazing and lots off fabulous walks nearby even a wash pool in walking distance which was loved by the kids

A friend and I spent a week of respite from cycling at Cwm Irfon in August 2012. We ended up staying in the overflow room of the Palmers’ house, which was a great experience. The location, while remote, is perfect for eluding contact with the outside world, which is exactly what we were searching for. Natural beauty abounds, and the cold and dreary welsh weather was starkly contrasted by the warmth and generosity of Karin and Gyles (who, I must add, are both excellent cooks).

I will certainly return there with a larger party to experience the cottages at the next possible opportunity. It’s the perfect remote getaway for a multi-family vacation, offering privacy but proximity to each other and nature. The cottages are charming and well equipped. The property amenities are also great, with an on-site sauna and fire pit, and a nearby swimming hole for the summer months. Not to mention the splendid company of Conker and Rupert, the Palmers’ two dogs. It is a beautiful place, I highly recommend it for all types of travellers (beach-goers excluded).

Great place to stay and prices reasonable

Nice, well appointed cottages tucked away in very peaceful valley.

Amazing surroundings, but found the owner very rude. When he thought I had slept in the neighbouring cottage (someone else had), he burst in without knocking, shouted at me, and slammed the door. Very unfortunate, since with a little more professionalism it would be a fantastic place to stay.
