Musée Toulouse-Lautrec

You will have seen Toulouse-Latrecs work on classic posters, Moulin Rouge etc. Now you can see many of them in one place and learn about the life of the artist, on display in a fascinating building, along with interesting works by other artists also. Really worth about an hour and a half, to two hours of your time.

The museum building itself is worth a museum, the drawings and paintings of Toulouse-Lautrec are beautifully displayed. Thanks to the museum for providing a Smartphone Audio Guido, brillant idea!!

Loved the place. Spent a long, long time in there. Taking my time to appreciate the works. I would definitely recommend going. When I return to Albi I shall go back. Reason so I can look at it all over again and see if I can pick up on things I may have missed in the art work. Also revisit the gift shop lots of post cards I would like to buy and frame up.

Brilliant exhibition of Toulouse Lautrec paintings and drawings in the historic setting of the bishop's palace. Definitely worth a visit when in Albi.

I fully recommend to visit this art museum. The art collection is top notch, very interesting and we'll presented. But the real jewel is the building; there is an exhibition about the history of the building and the restoration process that was done on it that surprised me and that I enjoyed even more than the art exhibitions. Sadly they were making preparations for an event and we were not allowed to visit the gardens.

Incredible museum featuring Toulouse Latrec's work. Definitely worth going through while visiting Albi. I recommend getting the the audio guide. It's really intresting. The garden outside is stunning Ana has one of the best views I've seen in France.

Another must see in Albi. The museum is both delightful inside and outside. We have posted a few photos to share. The museum closes for lunch. If possible, buy your tickets ahead of time to avoid a wait.

I absolutely loved this museum. The collection of art was magnificent. Especially if you like the style from that time period.

Very interesting and far more comprehensive than I'd anticipated. Startling how beautiful his early landscapes, portraits and animal interpretations (especially of horses) are.

The museum - set in Albi's Bishop's Palace - is a marvellous setting, hovering over the river Tarn far below.

A beautiful museum with great works by a great artist. Don't forget to visit the gardens.

With all the reproductions and books available nothing comes close to standing in front of this artwork. Give yourself plenty of time and get the audio guide. It’s cheap. There’s also ample written material in many languages to pick up along the way. If the day is good head into the garden to contemplate what you just saw.
