One of a kind! Absolutely must to be visited if you are in Toulouse. Unique architecture. There you can easily spend a lot of time, enjoying interior of this cathedral. Stunning frescoes.

What a beautiful cathedral! We had the blessing of attending Mass here. The Men’s choir was superb! The stained glass inside the chapel was glorious and the exterior beautiful. The church bells, sublime!

A world heritage site and wonderful church in the centre of Toulouse. The area around the church has gradually been improved so that it is now a lovely place to sit or stroll. The church itself is magical. Don’t miss the relics under the choir which can be visited for free

One of the most beautiful cathedrals I have ever seen. Absolutely worth it. I was fortunate to be there while there was a wedding and I could hear the church organ in full swing. Lovely experience.

It is located on the site of an ancient 4th-century basilica that contained the body of Saint Saturninus or Sernin, the first bishop of Toulouse. One of the symbols of Toulouse, this brick and stone basilica is certainly imposing. It has a 21 meter high nave, whose vault is richly carved, it also has a wooden and gold-plated marble canopy, as well as medieval frescoes that are so vivid that they appear to move! Its style is Romanesque.

I enjoyed visiting this Basilica. It has a lot of historical significance for being on El Camino, The pilgrimage path to the shrine of St James the Greater in Santiago de Compostela. It is a UNESCO world Heritage site. And the building was absolutely fabulous. Of course it's free to enter as are all Catholic Churches. Very much recommended!

I like it and recommend its visit. Take notice to the sepulcrum and on the abside how Jesus is portrayed in a very different manner. Look up and you'll see, Him, looking at you. Worth the visit, definately.

If traveling and visiting on a Saturday, then you're in for a treat!!
Not sure if they still do it since the pandemic but on Saturday mornings there is a flee market from locals that line the sidewalks surrounding this beautiful Church.
It was very interesting to see the local history through the local's offerings and we did buy a small little trinket that we still have on the shelf.

The architecture is absolutely beautiful, even though it being dated and it shows it's still remarkable how such things were designed and built in such times and places.

Church had corridors as you enter to give the feeling of almost a mid-evil setting, dark and dingy as you enter the church hall. Then breathtaking hall!!!

A must see if in the area and especially on a Saturday for the market!

Certainly the most beautiful cathedral in Toulouse, and a crypt well worth a visit. I'd love to know how the place was lit back in the days before electricity. Definitely some serious candles suppliers would have been necessary. Beautifully cool in the heat of summer months, but bone chillingly cold during winter. The architecture and decoration of the cathedral is stunning. Especially the 18th century altar and canopy. Certainly a must-see in Toulouse.

This Basilica located in the heart of Toulouse is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The architecture is very beautiful and it is one of the places to visit if you ever find yourself in Toulouse. It is somewhere in between the Capitol and the Daurade Bay. Therefore, there's no excuse if you don't visit this piece of ingenuity.

Basilique Saint-Sernin de Toulouse. Very well kept as many monuments all over France. Well situated right in the city center that makes it easier to visit. A lovely old church constructed in the Romanesque style between about 1080 and 1120, with construction continuing thereafter, Saint-Sernin is the largest remaining Romanesque building in Europe, if not the world. Within walking distance of the hotel. It has a distinctive tower and of course surrounded by eating and drinking places.
This is the most atmosphere of all the major churches in Toulouse, though sparse in its decoration, the vaulting arches are completely bare, but the palpably sense of antiquity and the contrasting atmosphere of the ornate altar and crypt areas.

Impressive church, big inside with nice frescoes, almost fully built with brick. Quite austere. Free entrance
