Ivalo River Camping

The rooms were cozy, and the services were very nice here.

Also had the breakfast and dinner here, which were both phenomenal. I honestly wish the man working here who cooked and served us the food started his own restaurant cause the reindeer courses were absolutely killer.

Very nice and lovely people here, we felt very welcomed :)! the room has a nice view and its clean. the shower room and the toilets, though its shared and public, are surprisingly very spacious and very clean! The breakfast was very good, I especially loved the Finnish pancakes, the fruit and the crispy croissants. The dinner was very yummy too with a very good price, we loved the kebab, pork steak with fries, the hot wings and mozzarella cheese. Though the weather was cloudy and couldnt see the aurora during the stay, but Im still very glad to have stayed in this place! Hope to come back again in the future♥

Very good camping site with cabins. Was there several times by caravan and this time by car in a cabin.
Breakfast buffet is absolutely sufficient for the money and the stuff is very nice

This place is FANTASTIC. Wonderful location (7 minutes from airport, drove 20 minutes and saw amazing northern light), super comfortable and clean, very kind owners that went out of their way to make our trip special. We can't wait to come back- thank you Matti!

Spent two nights there with a mobile home: lovely place next to the Ivalo River. Had sauna on both evenings with quick bathing in the river. Friendly staff. Recommended!

Great flexible host, was able to arrange our RV checkin even after normal opening time.
Very clean facilities.

We spend five nights in the camp. Our cottage was comfortable, warm and had everything its need. The restaurant was also great with a big choice of food.
The very fair price included a georgeous breakfast with the holy blueberry juice.
Especially the service was totally polite.
All in All, the camp is lovely and the prices are fair. Only disadvantage was the connection to other places.
I can recommend the Ivalo River Camp for an unforgettable journey.

Stayed here in a tent by the riverside. It's a small, beautiful place with very friendly staff. The sanitary building was slightly lacking, but they are soon starting to build a new building with toilets, showers, kitchen and laundry room. Would definitely visit again!

I've been staying at Ivalo River Camping at least once each year since 2016. The cabins are perfect for getting a warm nights sleep and all of the facilities are adequate. As of 2019 there are new owners and they are wonderful. The restaurant offers up a good selection of food and drink. If you are on a budget while staying in the Ivalo area, Ivalo River Camping is a great option.

Fresh facilities, fantastic view over the river and an absolutely wonderful sauna! Perfect for a stop over! The mosquitos in summertime can’t be helped…

Accommodation in Ivalo River Camping is very friendly! ❤ The stuff tried to give us all the attention and smiles (even in the high season and New Years Eve 😮) Gave us a lot of recommendations and answered everything what we wanted to know...

The cottages are small but lovely, very nice from outside, warm and relaxing inside. Also fridge, sockets and WiFi were available inside our tiny cottage.

Shared kitchen was clean and spacious, showers are big and nice as well, always with enough of hot water...
The toilets are not si big, but they were always clean and with toilet paper and towels. Also more and bigger toilets are next to the reception, and even one big is inside of the bar.

Since the landscape and winters in Finland are lovely, You won't stay inside your cottage.. 😀 There is a Aurora hunting safari, ice fishing, husky or raindeer trip, sauna,.. A lot things to do! ❤ We took a part in few activities and the guides were very nice, pleasant and helpful! We got warm clothes and had a juice trips to the Finland nature with a typical food (raindeer soup and sweet "glogg" tea ☕)

Breakfasts are available all the morning, and there is lot of things.. Hot drinks, musli, toast, pancakes, fruit, juice, coffee.. You don't need to be afraid! (good for vegetarians as well.. ❤)

We enjoyed a very nice Christmas time and New Year in Ivalo River Camping,.. Saw the Aurora Borealis lights, and tried to Ice fishing (We're not good fishermans 😀, but we weren't hungry... 🍜) We saw a lot of beautiful places in the nature around the Ivalo and mostly - enjoyed the calm and relaxing time.
