Restaurante La Taurina

My wife and I stopped in here on a recommendation of a local. The food was very good and service was friendly and efficient. We are visiting Spain and trying to sample as many local establishments as possible - where the locals go - not tourists. We had a nice sample of local food and a great bottle of red wine. The decor is fantastic - captures the bullfighting culture magnificently in tile work and paintings. Even has some bull heads mounted on the walls. I very much recommend this location.

Beautiful Spanish restaurant. Full of Spanish culture and taste. The decorations are so awesome. Full of Madrid old glories. Many Bull Fights painting and photos. They have many bull heads hanging around the restaurant. The food equally fantastic and delicious. Most of all the servers are friendly. Must come to have meal here when in Madrid.

This store has a lot of cow decorations, it is a place suitable for gatherings, the atmosphere of the restaurant is very good, thanks to my friend and family for inviting us to eat here, the tripe is delicious, the salad tomatoes also have a surprising taste, I am looking forward to the paella, as Spanish characteristics, worth trying, taste good！

Went there for tapas, included in my tour. Tapas were good for the most part. Dessert was not good, as the caramel was burnt. Service was ok, the restaurant was extremely busy.

It is a short walk from Sol train station and close to the touristy area. The place is decorated with Bulls heads and the bullfighting paraphernalia. The service is good, the food fresh and delicious. The portions are substantial. Really worth a visit. Look at the pics on the wall.

The restaurant looks marvelous inside, many mosaic pictures, typically Spanish style, very cool!
Food was also great, I had the mixed paella (without seafood) and it was extremely delicious! The flavouring was really well done!
Other meal, steak, was also very great!
Price was what you'd expect, so it's okay to pay a little bit more for such an amazing dinner!
Would've been great though if the waiter had spoken just a tiny bit of English...but okay

In my opinion the best restaurant in Madrid. Very good, typical spanish food, very friendly and engaged staff, and very good price for value

I visited here twice and both meals were solid. The staff was very polite too. I'm lactose intolerant and they made sure to confirm there was no lactose in the food I wanted to order.

The fried eggplant. The croquettes. These tapas were amazing, life changing, etc. Definitely worth going there! This was a local recommendation and definitely felt like a local favorite.

Did not disappoint! Highly recommend the ox stew!

After a long afternoon at the the Prado. I was looking for a relaxing place for my evening meal. I definitely found it here! The food was delicious. Especially the cheesecake! Attentive, efficient service. Wonderful ambiance. Thank you for taking care of a older gentleman from America! I highly recommend!

I and my wife are lucky enough to live in Madrid ,close to La Taurina, we love the high tables at their entrance having a few drinks looking at the world passing by, the service is very professional, friendly and welcoming as when it comes to food their choice is obviously very clear, fresh, delicious, cooked at the minute. A rarity that worth a stop to anyone who values quality, good price and service.

Super recommendable. The staff is very nice. food is great and they use fresh ingredients. the calamares andaluzia is the best calamares I have tasted in all Spain. Croquestas are also homemade. Don`t miss if you are in Madrid.

This place is amazing. The customer service is a 10/10, and the food was really nice, I ordered a tuna tacos.

One of my favourite tapas bars in Madrid, love the place, for the best experience sit at the bar and have a drink and enjoy the amazing free tapas they hand out.
